Do you think you have the power to stop His love for you, through ever-changing “feelings?”

Do you think He is a servant to your feelings, as though He must wait on you to know if He can love you today? Your feelings are not in charge, the LORD is!

Martin Luther wrote, “Feelings come and feelings go,

And feelings are deceiving;

My warrant is the Word of God–

Naught else is worth believing.

Though all my heart should feel condemned

For want of some sweet token,

There is One greater than my heart

Whose Word cannot be broken.

I’ll trust in God’s unchanging Word

Till soul and body sever,

For, though all things shall pass away,

HIS WORD SHALL STAND FOREVER.”

Even the darkest of times that we may go through do not diminish His love for us. Even our waywardness, wanderings, and sin cannot quench the love of God for us! It is not sentimental or ignores the sinfulness of sin, But His Holy Love deals with sin, on the cross through His Son, once and for all that we may be reconciled to Him, as His beloved children! How wonderful the love of God is.

One day He will draw us from this world to be with Him forever and ever to bask in His love to worship Him. No more pain, sorrow, sadness, or sin. But Himself the delight of our heart, the endless praise of our being. To be with Him is Heaven itself. So we comfort one another with the truth… Think about the Truth of His Word. His Word is perfect. His Word is forever settled in Heaven. ”The Lord appeared to him from afar, saying, “I have loved you with an everlasting love; Therefore I have drawn you with lovingkindness.”-{Jeremiah 31:3}. Who has and does love you? The LORD! Who has drawn you with His love? The LORD! Who should the spotlight be on? THE LORD! The LORD eternally Loves You!

  • THINK on Him- His love for you
  • THANK Him for His love for you and for drawing you to Himself
  • TRUST The One who Loves you.
  • TELL someone of the Love of the LORD.

God’s Love for you is not Dependant on how you “feel.” His love is eternally settled and His verdict?

“I have drawn you with an everlasting love…For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord…We KNOW LOVE BY THIS, He laid down His life for us…”{ Read Jeremiah 31:3; Rom 8:38-39, 1 John 3:16}. GOD LOVES YOU! The Sending of His Son and SACRIFICIAL Death and Resurrection PROVES He LOVES…YOU!

How you “feel,” does not negate, or nullify God’s eternal love for you! Stop living as though it does!

God Bless,

Aidan,
