The Fruit of Doubts?
1.- Anxiety- {Read Luke 10:40 }
2.- Fearfulness – {Read Mark 4;38}
3.- Despondency -{Read Luke 24:17-21}
4.- Instability – {Read James 1:6-8}.
Who would volunteer to embrace such a life but many of us do. Why? We choose to believe our doubts as truth and doubt God as un-True!
It takes faith to believe doubts about God, His character, promises, Word, will and ways. It takes disobedience to His Word to believe so. It is to say – “He may even mean well, but He cannot be trusted.”
What Doubts are you embracing , meditating upon and submitting and committing to?
The Alternative?
1. Believe God and Submit, commit,meditate obey and take Him at His Word! –
“Finally brothers and sisters, Whatever is TRUE, whatever is Honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable,if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise THINK about THESE THINGS.” This would be a good verse to meditate, memorize and when “thoughts” come to mind, or someones opinions, run them through the “grid” of this verse asking such questions as “is this TRUE about God, His Word, who I am in Christ? etc…
Dispel your doubts using the Word of God, for His Word is true– “,,,Your Word is TRUE”- {Read John 17:17}, and the means the Holy Spirit uses to strengthen us, change us so we know Him better, His will, His ways,Word!
Dispel, defeat the temptation to doubt God by knowing, applying His Word! His Word to those thoughts and He will meet you in the temptation when doubt seeks to overcome you! He promises so in 1 Cor 10:13- “NO TEMPTATION has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is Faithful He WILL NOT ALLOW you to be TEMPTED BEYOND WHAT you can bear, But WHEN you are Tempted, HE WILL PROVIDE The way out so that you can endure it!”- Thats His promise. It doesn’t say you won’t be tempted, or He will keep you from temptation but He does say He will provide for you when tempted, so that you do not have to subbmit and sin against Him when tempted but will provide “THE” way of escape for you. Now, that is a promise we can hold onto when doubts would seek to assult, demoralize, terrorize us! God has never failed to break His promise and He will not begin with you, or me- Though the doubts may seek to say otherise! This would be a good verse for you to meditate, memorize, pray and share!
His Word is greater and more powerful than the doubts which seek to tear you down, dishearten you with anxiety, fear, despondency, instabiility!
Recognize the doubts, Replace those thoughts with the TRUTH of God’s Word which reveals the God of the Word! Recognize- Replace- Repeat each time when doubts come which are ultimately to attack the characheter of God as un-trustworthy! Doubts that attack the charachter of God, are demonic, seeking to dishearten you, dishonor God.
Dispel your doubts useing the Word of God, depending upon the Holy Spirit to meet you- and He will!
