“…what does the Lord your God require of you, but to fear the Lord your God, to walk in all His ways, to love Him, to serve the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul, and to keep the commandments and statutes of the Lord, which I am commanding you today for your good?””-{Deut 10:12-13}.
In Scripture “Walking” implies behavior, lifesyle, the way we live our lives, in our thinking as our mind is being renewed though His Word-{Read Romans 12:1-2}, indeed, the direction we are going, and to walk with God means to be going the same way as He has revealed in His Word. Before we came to know Jesus Christ we were walking according to the patterns, dictates of our own ways, and the ways of a world system opposed to God. But when He turned our hearts around and as we began to acquaint ourselves with His Word, the Holy Spirit began to teach us His ways, and like a toddler we began to take some steps and as we mature in Christ, we beomce stronger in our dependance upon the LORD to strengthen us and guide us to walk more and more in the thoughts, choices we make- in allignment with Him. as revealed in His Word! So we can pray such as some truths mentioned below…
LORD HELP me To…
1- WALK WITH YOU –“This is the account of Noah and his family.Noah was a righteous man, blameless among the people of his time, and he walked faithfully with God.”– {Genesis 6:9}
2.- WALK IN NEWNESS OF LIFE- “
Therefore we were buried with Him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.”-{Romans 6;4}
3.- WALK IN THE SPIRIT –“ So I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh. 17 For the flesh desires what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the flesh.”-{Gal 5;16-17}
4.-WALK WORTHY of You –“… so as to walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing to him, bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God.”-{Col 1:10}
5.-WALK IN HUMILITY- “He has told you, mortal one, what is good; And what does the Lord require of you But to do justice, to love kindness, And to walk humbly with your God?”- {Micah 6:8}
6.- WALK IN LOVE – “and walk in the way of love, just as Christ loved usand gave himself up for usas a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.”- {Eph 5:2}
7. -WALK BY FAITH – “for we walk by faith, not by sight—” {2 Cor 5:7} “…”By faith Enoch was taken away so that he did not see death, “and was not found, because God had taken him”; for before he was taken he had this testimony, that he pleased God. But without faith it isimpossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.”{Heb 11:5-6}
8 – WALK IN THE LIGHT – “ But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin.”-{1 John 1:7}
9.- WALK TO PLEASE GOD. –“ Finally then, brethren, we urge and exhort in the Lord Jesus that you should abound more and more, just as you received from us how you ought to walk and to please God;”-{1Thes 4:1}
LORD THANK YOU ,by Your Grace, empowered by Your Holy Spirit You have given me the power to Walk, live out our lives through renewed thinking from Your Word in order to make choices to walk in agreement with You this day. Today!
