Sin has shattered the relationship between God and people. Strife, separation a result. Jesus interposed Himself between God and us and took the full wrath of God upon Himself for your sin, to pay the penalty that you may not die in your sin but be made right with God through the righteousness of Christ which is now to your account.
“For God made Christ, who never sinned, to be the offering for our sin, so that we could be made right with God through Christ.” – 2 Corinthians 5:21
“He himself bore our sins” in his body on the cross, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; “by his wounds you have been healed.” – 1 Peter 2:24
Look away To Jesus continually, for He is your Sin-Bearer and Substitute! God’s wrath satisfied. Your sins all forgiven, peace with God. Once His enemy now His child. Your sins and shame erased, clothed now in the righteousness of Christ! Behold Jesus your Sin-bearer and substitute. Look away from your sins to the Savior who saved you from the penalty of your sins!
Be Christ conscious not sin conscious!
While the enemy of your soul would seek to turn you inward to “wallow” in your sin , the Holy Spirit points you to the Savior that you may “wonder in worship ” of Jesus who bled and died for all of your sin!
Ask yourself the question, are you “wallowing” or in “awe “of Jesus? Where you are “looking” will give you the answer…Look Away To Jesus there is Hope in Him! He bore all your sins so you need not be occupied with them but with…HIM who bore ALL of you sin and shame!!
“Jesus paid it all, all to Him I owe, sin had left a crimson stain He washed it white as snow!” “What a Friend we have in Jesus all our grief and sins to bear…”
APPLICATION AND APPRECIATION;
MEMORIZE,MEDITATE. Take the above two verses and place on each side of a 3 by 5 card and read each verse word for word and THINK on Each Phrase and Pray for God to enable you to understand His WORK ON YOUR BEHALF, through the perfect work of the Lord Jesus.
TRAIN YOUR MIND TO THINK ON THE TRUTH and apply it by knowing you have the capacity to follow Him and delight in Him and the tremendous sacrifice He paid with His life to make this a reality…
THINK ON- JESUS! Look away by looking to Him in His Word. In your praying PRAISE Him for what He has done for you! Seek to share with others to LOOK AWAY TO JESUS- THE SIN BEARER.
