I came across this note from Feb 24 2015. I hope it will encourage you!
“BE CALM- “Because God will not under any circumstance leave you.”-
I had written this in my Bible at some earlier date regarding Hebrews 13:5. It caught my attention today and made me think, in the midst of so many tests, stress, chronic illness, trials, I needed to “preach to my self-”
BE CALM- Because God will not under any circumstance leave you!…
it was the jolt I needed to my own frayed nerves. IT BROKE IN ON ALL THE DISTRACTING EXHAUSTION OF WEAKNESS, PAIN AND Just brought a moment for a longed-for breather! Everything stopped – all the spinning relentless thoughts, of beat down, worn down, close to tears, wanting to say “enough I can’t do this anymore…” and then two words, “BE CALM” – ‘arrested my thoughts and began to TURN MY ATTENTION back to the reality – The LORD is with me!
I began to think of the old hymn, the second stanza over my years has been a healing, soothing balm in many a tough, perplexing place
“Be still, my soul: the Lord is on thy side.
Bear patiently the cross of grief or pain.
Leave to thy God to order and provide;
In every change, He faithful will remain.
Be still, my soul: thy best, thy heavenly Friend
Through thorny ways leads to a joyful end.
Be still, my soul: thy God doth undertake
To guide the future, as He has the past.
Thy hope, thy confidence let nothing shake;
All now mysterious shall be bright at last.
Be still, my soul: the waves and winds still know
His voice Who ruled them while He dwelt below.” – (Katharina A. von Schlegel,)
UPDATE; FAST FORWARD To Today which is Feb 25 2023… another bad day with a new incurable illness on the 23th I was told, and a night or so later -for a moment the news was scary, as I contemplated it, and then… I found this note…HOW KIND OF THE LORD… PREVIOUS LORD,… HE GOES BEFORE HIS SHEEP and had this note come up on my “Facebook memories” just as I was receiving “bad ” news…” BUT GOD!” how kind a Shepherd
Be encouraged, and remember… preach to yourself…to…
“BE CALM- “Because God will not under any circumstance leave you.”
“…being content with what you have; for He Himself has said, “I will never desert you, nor will I ever abandon you,”-{Hebrews 13:5}
“”being content with what you have; for He has said, “I will never [under any circumstances] desert you [nor give you up nor leave you without support, nor will I in any degree leave you helpless], nor will I forsake or let you down or relax My hold on you [assuredly not]!”-{Hebrews 13:5 Amplified Bible.}
God bless.
