1. – COMPLETION;
In John 19:30 on the Cross, Jesus last words “It is Finished” is one word in the Greek-“Tetelestai” and speaks of something that has been fully, thoroughly completed. “PAID IN FULL!” On the cross Jesus Fulfilled, and completed the fulfillment of Scriptures regarding His sacrifice; The judgment of sin was completed{Isaiah53:5-6}; Forgiveness of sins once for all was completed- {Heb 9:22-26. And the Ressurection of Jesus Christ PROVED His Work was fully accepted by God on behalf of Him and all people who turn to Him and submit to Him for eternal salvation- eternally secure because of His “finished” work on the cross!
“IT IS FINISHED”- Grammatically it is, He in the past completed it, it is presently completed it will forever stand completed- nothing needed to be added to His work of redemption! It is fully completed! “PAID IN FULL!”
2.- IMPOSSIBILITY;
“But God RAISED HIM FROM THE DEAD, FREEING HIM from the agony of death, because it was IMPOSSIBLE for death to keep its hold on Him.”-{Acts 2:24}
3. – JUSTIFICATION;
“He was delivered over to DEATH FOR OUR SINS and was RAISED TO LIFE FOR OUR JUSTIFICATION,”-{Rom 4:25}
4.- SALVATION;
“….because if you acknowledge and confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord [recognizing His power, authority, and majesty as God], and BELIEVE IN YOUR HEART THAT GOD RAISED HIM FROM THE DEAD, YOU WILL BE SAVED. For with the heart a person believes [in Christ as Savior] resulting in his justification [that is, being made righteous—being freed of the guilt of sin and made acceptable to God]; and with the mouth he acknowledges and confesses [his faith openly], resulting in and confirming [his] salvation.”-{Romans 10:9-10}
5.- INVITATION FOR YOU-AND THOSE YOU SHARE WITH TODAY;
“This righteousness of God comes through faith in Jesus Christ for all those [Jew or Gentile] who believe [and trust in Him and acknowledge Him as God’s Son]. There is no distinction, since all have sinned and continually fall short of the glory of God, and are being justified [declared free of the guilt of sin, made acceptable to God, and granted eternal life] as a gift by His [precious, undeserved] grace, through the redemption [the payment for our sin] which is [provided] in Christ Jesus, whom God displayed publicly [before the eyes of the world] as a [life-giving] sacrifice of atonement and reconciliation (propitiation) by His blood [to be received] through faith. This was to demonstrate His righteousness [which demands punishment for sin], because in His forbearance [His deliberate restraint] He passed over the sins previously committed [before Jesus’ crucifixion]. It was to demonstrate His righteousness at the present time, so that He would be just and the One who justifies those who have faith in Jesus [and rely confidently on Him as Savior].“-{Romans 3:22-26}
“We are MADE RIGHT WITH GOD by placing our faith in Jesus Christ. And this is true for EVERYONE WHO BELIEVES, NO MATTER WHO WE ARE.
For EVERYONE HAS SINNED; we all fall short of God’s glorious standard. Yet God, in His grace, FREELY MAKES US RIGHT IN HIS SIGHT. He did this through Christ Jesus when He freed us from the penalty for our sins.”
6. – ASSURANCE;
“But in fact, Christ has been raised from the dead. He is the first of a great harvest of all who have died. So you see, just as death came into the world through a man, now the resurrection from the dead has begun through another Man. Just as everyone dies because we all belong to Adam, EVERYONE WHO BELONGS TO CHRIST WILL BE GIVEN NEW LIFE.”-{1 Corinthians 15:20-22}.
7. – A LIVING HOPE
“Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy He has given us new birth into A LIVING HOPE through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,” Not the hope of chance, but of certainty! The response is to “PRAISE… BLESS …SPEAK WELL OF HIM WHO HAS DONE THIS!
HE IS ALIVE…”JUST AS HE SAID!” THEREFORE WE HAVE RESURRECTION HOPE IN CHRIST- OUR FAITH IN HIM IS NOT IN VAIN… CELEBRATE THE RISEN CHRIST… GO TELL SOMEONE THE GOOD NEWS AND ITS 7 IMPLICATIONS!
God bless.
