I’ve been thinking on Psalm 56:9 today. I hope it will be an encouragement to you.
In times of adversity prayer to God, should be our first port of call, confident of His presence and favor! David knew this in the midst of his own trials and troubles …
“Then my enemies will turn back when I call for help. This I Know That God Is For Me.”-(Psalm 56:9)
We can see Three truths to help us in such times from this passage. He acknowledges he has adversaries, he acknowledges his need. He acknowledges the answer to his need.
And we note his confidence and comfort from the assurance “…This I know that God is for me.”
He gives us three truths to strengthen us in such times…
TURN to God.
TALK to God.
TAKE God at His Word.
