Today I am told it’s my birthday,…. “Come and hear, all who fear God,
And I will tell of what He has done for my soul.”-( Psalm 66:16)
And so Thinking back over time these verses summarize my testimony of learning and the LORD proving to me of His faithfulness…
“Hitherto the LORD has helped us.” -( 1 Samuel 7:12) And having begun this journey so many years ago with but a promise that now looking back all these years, I can say I have seen Him fulfill and still do so,” And my God will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus.”-( Phil 4:19). Glory to Him. He can be trusted, He has been faithful to His Word not just in a general way but specifically, intimately involved and making Himself known through circumstances of life that at times seemed overwhelming to me but not to Him, who used them as means to teach me of Himself and make Himself known to me and with each testing, trial, were but weaning opportunities to help wean me of self-reliance to God dependency – the weaning off self-reliance to leaning on Him-( Read 2 Cor 1:9)- this is the way of His developing our faith in Him- and this verse – Phil 4:19, He has used to prove time and time again to me and mine of His intimate involvement, concern, and faithfulness to me
And so I write this to give Him praise and to encourage you in your own journey as Hudson Taylor’s missionary to inland China in his latter days would go from place to place preaching this message,” Hold that God is faithful!”
