YOU ARE GOD’S HIGHEST VALUE ON EARTH;

TWO LOVES; To be sure, our affection ebbs  and flows and is inconsistent, “But God,”… the Father knowing all about us, our mood swings, or moaning, and whining,sin, failings, and apathy at times, and not been to others what we should be to them, yet HE HAS COMMITTED HIMSELF to not only supremely, sacrificially, personally love you. {“AGAPE ” Love}- He Gave His Son to redeem you, such is the value He has placed on you. Outside of the Trinity, there is No more favored creature upon the earth or in the heavens than …Y-O-U! He did not send His Son to die to redeem the fallen angels or Lucifer but for people, sinners! God loves people so much He sent His Son on a search and rescue mission- Jesus came to “seek and save the lost,”  spiritually ruined, and bring them into a right relationship with God, and this He did for you, ” The BELOVED of God!”- { Rom 1:7}. And not only does God “agape,” you and demonstrated it with the cross of His Son for you, He “Phileo,” – you! The word also translated “Love,” in our English Bibles speaks of  “a warm, caring, deep, affection,” and this God the Father has for you, because you  believe His Son came from the Father and you have a {Phileo} love for His Son. “for the Father Himself loves you, because you have loved Me and have believed that I came forth from the Father.” – {John 16:27}. And through this mutual affection and common interest and mutual delight you each have in Jesus, that you Like Him! God Really, Really, LIKES YOU, because you like His Son.

The word is also used in John 11:36  “So the Jews said, “See how He loved [phileo] him!” – It is used by Peter when the LORD restores him in John 21:15-17; ” When they had eaten breakfast, Jesus asked Simon Peter, “Simon, son of John, do you love [agape] Me more than these?” “Yes, Lord,” he said to Him, “You know that I love [phileo] You.” “Feed My lambs,” He told him.  A second time He asked him, “Simon, son of John, do you love [agape] Me?” “Yes, Lord,” he said to Him, “You know that I love [phileo] You.” “Shepherd My sheep,” He told him.  He asked him the third time, “Simon, son of John, do you love [phileo] Me?” Peter was grieved that He asked him the third time, “Do you love [phileo] Me?” He said, “Lord, You know everything! You know that I love [phileo] You.” “Feed My sheep,” Jesus said.” Jesus affirms His affection and friendship with Peter!

We see God’s sacrificial love for you in sending His Son and the cross of His dear Son. Then we see His love of affection, enjoyment for you, the common interest we have in Him, and His love of affection where we would often use the term to “like” someone.

Think on this, God really likes you!

Seems amazing? It is, because He is amazing! His Perfect Being, without flaw, sin or blemish or inconsistency, purely, wholly sacrificially loves you but also in the same vein LIKES YOU! And there is no higher value on this earth outside of Himself that he has placed value upon than… you!

The TWO LOVES described in Scripture from the above are “Agape” which speaks of pure, unconditional sacrificial love and “Phileo” the love of affection. God has and does demonstrate both to you! His cross, His Son!
