“Looking,” not as a glimpse but a steady fixed focus of faith fixed on His Person, provision, sacrifice, sovereignty, promises, and not at self or circumstances as the end.Looking to Jesus means relying on him. “Looking” has the idea of zeroing our gaze on something with confidence.  in this case it is the Person of The Lord Jesus. The NIV  captures it with this idea, –“fixing our eyes.” It is to exclusively looking away from all else to Jesus.  The prefix to this Greek verb translated “looking” actually carries the meaning of “looking away from all others toward one”   The call is to look continuously away To Jesus which means we choose Him and in doing so we choose not to fix our eyes on others, other things as the focus of our living! “Christ who is our life”{ Col 3:2-3} We lean upon Him. Look to Him as our resource. Jesus demands our exclusive allegiance. Looking elsewhere will be hay , wood and stubble and of no spiritual or eternal benefit! He is God and has a right to demand our allegiance and in Love and wisdom He knows this is for out best benefit if we are to “run the race” of perseverance set before us

It is a “fight of faith” to focus and recall and remind ourselves to look away from all else to Him… The children of Israel were told to ” look” to the bronze serpent on the pole Moses had erected, and they would live! All around poisonous snakes, and they were told what to do when bitten , to “look” away to the erected brazen serpent on the pole and they would be healed, they would not die {Num 21:8-9}. The outcome would be according to the choice of whom they would trust! As they chose to obey and ” look ” they would be healed! … Placing the blood on the doors and when He saw it He would pass over it. It is a look of faith to the faithful One that dares us trust in Him, the evidence is to obey Him who is faithful…

Feed your Mind on His Word …THINK, THINK, THINK, Meditate… Pray … Appropriate … Celebrate Him who is triumphant ! REST in HIS LOVE for you! God places a high premium on faith in His Son. God places a high premium on you… “Look” long at what the Son did for you. Linger your thinking on Him and take courage to keep looking away from all else to Jesus!
