“This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us–whatever we ask–we know that we have what we asked of Him.“- ( 1 John 5:14-15)
“Our prayers must always be offered in submission to the will of God.”- {Matthew Henry.}
Too often we believe the exercise of saying a prayer “in Jesus Name,” assures us that God is bound to do our will, that He is somehow obligated! This is to have a false concept of God, ourselves, and His ways! In such cases it is because we have “created Him” in our mind to serve us, when in reality He created us that we might know and serve Him and His purposes! “Your Kingdom come, Your will be Done on earth as it is in Heaven” – ( Matt 6:9). The emphasis is His glory in the situation. His will first and foremost in the circumstance. When we can pray among His lines then our prayers will be aligned according to His Will, and we can be assured not only does He hear but He answers according to His will and we can pray with confidence! Submitting our will to His will is where we begin!
