MEDITATE ON HIS WORD

But his delight is in the law of the Lord,
And in His law he meditates day and night.”-{Psalm 1:2}

Take a verse and think on it, word for word, phrase by phrase. A good way to help you do so is perhaps put a verse on your bathroom mirror, and as you daily brush your teeth look at it word for word, phrase for phrase, as you do that everyday for a month, before you know it, you will have memorized it and slowly but surely you will be able throughout the day be able to recall and think on it, incorporating it into your prayers, praise and making decisions based on his revealed Word and in doing so be living wise. “Therefore everyone who hears these words of Mine and acts on them, may be compared to a wise man who built his house on the rock.“- {Matt 7:24}.The “rock” is His Word, which is stable, secure foundation compared in the next verse to the  person who builds their life on anything OTHER THAN the Word of God He compares it to “sand.” SAND is not firm, you wouldn’t build a house on it, would you? Why not? Because there is no stability. So to build your life on anything other than the Word of God Jesus says is “foolish!’-{v29}. Do you want to be “wise” or “foolish?” Which are your thoughts and actions revealing? That’s not to make you feel bad, but to encourage you, you don’t have to give way and allow these demonic {that’s where they ultimately originate from} doubtful thoughts to take over your life and effect you emotionally bringing turmoil, uncertainty, a state of confusion to you.

Choose what He says over what you “feel” as your authority and base your choices on What He says!

As you memorize and meditate, even if initially it is only a few words that you remember from the verse, don’t become disheartened, its not a race but a RELATIONSHIP with God you are developing and it will be “FUEL” for your faith and also for the HOLY Spirit to have Truth to bring back to your mind even years later. Once it goes in HE CAN BRING BACK To your MIND.

DO HIS WORD;

“But prove yourselves doers of the word, and not merely hearers who delude themselves.”-{James 1:22}

ENCOURAGEMENT AND HOPE COME THROUGH HIS WORD FOR YOU;

” For whatever was written in earlier times was written for our instruction, so that through perseverance and the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope.”-{Romans 15;14}.

THE HOLY SPIRIT WILL TEACH YOU;

“He will glorify Me, for He will take of Mine and will disclose it to you.”-{John 16:13}.

CHRIST REVEALS HIMSELF THROUGH HIS WORD;

” Then beginning with Moses and with all the prophets, He explained to them the things concerning Himself in all the Scriptures. “-{Luke 24:27}

Doubt’s will come but remember you do not have to submit or dwell on them. You have the power to choose what you DWELL on! It has been said, you cannot stop a bird from flying over your head but but you can stop it from taking it’s time and building a nest in your hair. You can’t stop thoughts coming to you but like not giving a bird TIME to build the nest in your hair, don’t give these “doubtful,” thoughts the TIME. Remember the verse from Philippians 4:8 what to “DWELL “on ?  Dwell on truth. Keep thinking and thinking and thinking on the TRUTH. And His promises is, “If you continue in My word, then you are truly disciples of Mine;  and you will know the truth, and the truth will make you free.“-{John 8:31-32}. Objective truth Liberates. Subjective, feelings can tie you up in knots and lead to building your life on sand, and been tossed and turned as you are building your life not on His Word, but on “sand!”

Remember, what He says is all that counts! Count on what He says! Think on what He says so you can enjoy all He has for you, “in Christ,” and do what He says!

We all “think,” throughout the day. It is in the moments when you do not have to give your mind to something else, like, school, work etc, those “free” moments that you have to take control of your thinking and be renewing your mind.”And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect. “-{Romans 12;2-3}.

Conformed to the thoughts and beliefs of this world system or Transformed by His Word. One or the other. The way we counteract being sucked into believing the lies of this world that life can be lived outside of a relationship with God through our LORD Jesus Christ is by being TRANSFORMED by THE WORD OF GOD. To have our mind transformed, we have to expose our mind to His Word taking it in, reading, meditating and applying it and what will be the result? “…so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect.”-{Romans 12;2-3}.

” “If you continue in My word, then you are truly disciples of Mine; and you will know the truth, and the truth will make you free.“-{John 8;31-32}.

And to know the LORD Jesus more accurately, intimately the Holy Spirit teaches us from His Word. When JESUS arose from the dead and appeared to the two despondent disciples on the Road to Emmaus, He opened the Scriptures to Him and revealed HIMSELF to them in ALL the Scriptures! How will you get to know Him better? Avail of His Word. come to Know Him. Meditating upon Him, celebrating Him, strengthened by faith in Him, obeying Him from a heart of love, and worshiping Him. And how does He make Himself known? Through His Word. This is one reason the evil one seeks to keep you from His Word and meditating upon it as The Holy Spirit uses it to make CHRIST, THE RISEN LORD known to you!

“Then beginning with Moses and with all the prophets, He explained to them the things concerning Himself in all the Scriptures.”-{Luke 24:27}
