The FRUIT of JUSTIFICATION is… We STAND in GRACE.- {Romans 5:2}  

God has justified us. He has declared us right based on the Lord Jesus work! As a result we…

“STAND…”– Before our “STAND,” was one of condemnation, under the wrath of God, now through the declaration of God we “STAND” Justified through the Lord Jesus and as a result we have peace with God, we have access to Him. We have a new perspective on suffering and we have a future hope to rejoice, rest and be reassured in! Our “STAND,” is a new position bestowed on us through the graciousness of God! The word, “STAND…” – We have taken our “stand” on this grace and this standing is not sporadic but permanent…it is in the perfect tense. This is our permanent standing, not an occasional audience but invited into the palace of the king, into the sanctuary of the King… our standing is PERMANENT, SECURE. ETERNAL,because God has declared it so! It is not depending upon our performance but on the finished work of the Lord Jesus. God has declared us right with Him through the work of Jesus, His death, His resurrection, on our behalf. God is well pleased with Jesus sacrifice and raised Him as proof His Work was sufficient, and we have full standing before God as a result.

WE STAND – “ACCEPTED,” having been “introduced” and now permanently have complete acceptance based on Another. We have been brought into this standing, “introduced” into this place of new position, declared right by God through Jesus and STAND AS JUSTIFIED men women, boys and girls, who have through faith been brought into this permanent, gracious standing! We could not make God “accept” us. We were and are impotent to stand acceptable before God apart from someone else, making us acceptable and bringing us into right standing with and before God. This God did through the Lord Jesus and now believers are  “accepted in the Beloved!” {Ephesians 1:6}.

WE STAND “SECURE.”  We are not like a politician who is voted in and out of office, who has a term limit.  THERE IS NO TERM LIMIT REGARDING GOD’S LIMIT CONCERNING YOUR STANDING, IT IS ETERNAL. YOU CANNOT LOSE WHAT HE HAS MADE YOU STAND IN. WHO WILL UNDO WHAT GOD HAS DONE? {Romans 8:2}

  • We do not “STAND” in the place of “condemnation, for the Lord Jesus Himself bore our condemnation- John 3:17
  • We do not “STAND” any longer under the wrath of God but as those who have been JUSTIFIED- Romans 5:1-2
  • We do not “STAND” in the place of weakness, but “in the power of God,” to fight the battle of faith.- Ephesians 6:11-14
  • We “STAND IN GRACE” in the eternal favor, kindness and full loving acceptance of God based solely on the work of the Lord Jesus Christ.- Romans 5:1-2
  • We “STAND” ETERNALLY SECURE-  Rom 5:1-2.

“GRACE.” 

The word, “GRACE,” here speaks of the sphere, of our privileged position of  FULL ACCEPTANCE WITH GOD.

Two Verbs are used in relation to “THIS GRACE,” speaking of our ENTRANCE into it and our CONTINUANCE in it! Both are in the perfect tense.

First, we have gained access- {introduction}- THROUGH CHRIST! “GAINED ACCESS…” which indicates our INABILITY to enter into a right relationship with God apart from Him declaring us judicially right based on the work of the Lord Jesus. We are incapable ourselves and it speaks …

Secondly, of our need for someone to bring us into this right standing- “THROUGH CHRIST!” Only through the Lord Jesus who brings us into this standing with God which is right and permanent. It is all due to the kindness , unmerited favor of God upon us! Our inability and our need for Jesus Christ alone can meet this need, though His ability! How beautiful!

THIS IS PERMANENT. Our ACCEPTANCE is permanent. Our Position is Eternal! The result is the fruit of God’s Justification of you and me!  Nothing can separate us from the Love of God- Rom 8:38

” To stand in God’s grace means

to abide there,

to be established there,

to hold up there,

to be present there.

How awesome to know that we have passed from death to life, this is something that has been accomplished for us by Jesus Christ, and it is by faith in Him that we now stand in God’s favor toward us as His children! We have Access to God
We have Permanent- STANDING before God of  Loving, Full Acceptance with Him.
