“..These TWO THINGS I HAVE HEARD:
“Power belongs to You, God,
and with You, Lord, is unfailing love”
–{Psalm 62:11-12}
David learned TWO TRUTHS about God, and passes them on to others, namely…
1. GOD IS POWERFUL.
2. GOD’S IS A LOYAL LOVE-{UNFAILING LOVE.}
These TWO LESSONS he had HEARD and LEARNED and when facing his troubles REMINDED AND SPOKE TO HIMSELF and also reached out to encourage, reinforce and strengthen… OTHERS. He had heard and learned “these two things,”… and he TESTIFIED to Others… That Power belongs to God,and His covenant keeping love is faithful, His love is loyal! He can be counted on! You may say, “I know this,” but in the troubles you need to Talk to yourself this, and feed your faith and keep your mind focused as the evil one will seek to penetrate your thought life, to effect your emotions and seek to tempt your choices! And you can end up confessing “these two things,” and then come behind with fifty “reasons” why not to believe Him and His Word! Sound familiar? You may need to over and over confess them, to remind yourself and fill your mind and fuel for your faith these words are TRUTH, from the LIVING GOD! In times of trouble David confessed these truths! David TESTIFIED to “these TWO THINGS…” Don’t listen to lies, the “what if’s,” instead CHOOSE to listen to His Word. Speak it, share it. Praise Him for “…these Two Things!”
TWO TRUTHS to MEDITATE upon Today…
1. -GOD Is POWERFUL;
God is Powerful enough for whatever you are facing.
The most “powerful” person in the world is not all powerful. He or she cannot stop death. They are impotent to death. They must yield. They are weak to its power, they are impotent. For “POWER BELONGS TO….” Who? People? Nations?Governments? Armies? Business corporations? Puny people who are dependent upon their next breath from God to sustain their heart beat and life. NO! But ” Power belongs to God. ” Power to Create, Power to Destroy, Power to crush, destroy the evil one and his lies. Power to expose the evil one’s lies. Power to transfer from the kingdom of darkness to the Kingdom of His Son. Power to make new creation’s in Christ.Power to forgive, Power to justify us, Power to accept us. Power To Deliver, Power to Save, Power to Sustain, Power to Change people as well as any and all circumstances, that He pleases, “Whatever the Lord pleases, He does,In heaven and in earth, in the seas and in all deeps.”-{Psalm 135:6}. “Ah, Sovereign Lord, You have made the heavens and the earth by Your GREAT POWER and outstretched arm. Nothing is too Difficult for you.”-{Jeremiah 32:17}.
Do you know why”nothing is too difficult for Him? Because He is “SOVEREIGN LORD!” Sovereign, speaks of Kingship.{Read Isaiah 46:9-11}. The last five letters Of Sovereign spells R-E-I-G-N-S. All Power belongs to… GOD! His message, He has given us is one of Power, “For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is THE POWER OF GOD FOR SALVATION to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek. “–{Romans 1;16} Power to Save to the uttermost, eternally, for “POWER BELONGS TO GOD!” The Assurance from Him that our soul’s are Eternally secure, for we read His promise,“..who are PROTECTED BY THE POWER OF GOD through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.”-{1 Peter 1:5}. “Do not fear those who kill the body but are unable to kill the soul; but rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.”-{Matt 10;28} For “POWER BELONGS TO GOD!
“…putting everything in subjection under His feet.” Now in putting everything in subjection to Him, He left nothing outside His control. At present, we do not yet see everything in subjection to Him…”-{Heb 2:8}.
God is not held captive to anyone, or anything, for “POWER BELONGS TO YOU, GOD!”
The word, ‘Power’ used here {oz} means ‘strength, might.’
The word, “GOD” used here is the Hebrew word,”Elohim” which is used in Genesis ;1,1 of God the Creator,”In the beginning [Elohim] created the heavens and the earth” The basic meaning behind the name Elohim is one of strength or power of effect. Elohim is the infinite, all-powerful God who shows by His works that He is the creator, sustainer, and supreme judge of the world.”-{Got questions.com}
Take courage and Hope in Him who is in Control and doing whatever “PLEASES Him,” effortlessly! He has given us everything pertaining to life and Godliness”-{2 Peter 1:3} and you can confidently say,“I can Do ALL things Through Christ who INFUSES me with Strength.”-{Read Phil 4:13}. ” What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare his own Son, but gave Him up for us all—how will He not also, along with Him, graciously give us all things?”- {Rom 8:31-32}.
2. GOD’S IS A LOYAL LOVE! – {IS UNFAILING IN HIS LOVE;}
Kingdom’s fail, economy’s fail, governments fail,marriages can fail, business’s can fail, health can fail, finances can fail,we live in a world of uncertainty “BUT GOD…” “BUT GOD…” His love is UNFAILING.It cannot fail for He cannot Fail and God IS Love!
God’s Love is not “wishy washy,”… “maybe,”… “if’y,” uncertain, inconsistent, ever changing, like the wind, but is LOYAL…His is a Faithful, Steadfast, Unchanging, Irrevocable, unbreakable Love, and nothing or no one can sever His Love for you! LOYALTY is His Love! Unfailing Love! For He is Loyal!
“Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? As it is written: “For your sake we face death all day long; we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered.”
“No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons,[b] neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”-{Rom 8:35-39}
“THESE TWO THINGS”
Speak to yourself of His character in your troubles. It is IMPERATIVE you listen to God’s Word, so as to dwell your mind on truth, strengthen your faith and see things from heaven’s perspective as they truly are, “walking by faith and not by sight!”

What you HEAR from God’s Word. What you LEARN… TESTIFY TO OTHERS!
What have You Experienced of His POWER specifically? TESTIFY!
What have you LEARNED of His Loyal LOVE? TESTIFY to others…!
TELL your Story of HIS dealings with you to Glorify Him and ENCOURAGE others in their faith!

- MEDITATE Upon Psalm 62:11-12
- MEMORIZE The verse, think on it word by word, phrase by phrase.. Your mind has to go somewhere Phil 4:8 says let it dwell on Things that are “TRUE!”
- REMIND YOURSELF– Speak to yourself of His character in your troubles.
- PRAISE Him for the “TWO THINGS.”
- SHARE “These Two Things…” With…OTHERS. TELL OF HIM!
