“Oh Give thanks to the LORD for He is GOOD, His Love endures forever.”-{Psalm 107:1}
To say that God is “GOOD,” is to say there is no evil, sinful, deception in Him. His motivation and intent is good.., He always does what is right, pure in motive, He is morally excellent and does that which is ultimately beneficial and He works all things in the end for “good” as His plans as with Joseph reveal.- {Gen 50:20}. He is good in His nature and that extends from Him to all He does -{Read Psalm 119:68}. God’s goodness is seen in His sending His Son to redeem us.{Read Rom 2:4} God’s goodness should lead us to be and express Thankfulness to Him.-{Read Psalm 107:1}. Note Thankfulness to The Lord is repeated and to be characteristic of the child of God as seen in v 1- “Oh give thanks to the Lord.” …verse 8, “Let them give thanks to the Lord,”…v 21, “Let them give thanks to the Lord,” and in verse 31, “Let them give thanks to the Lord.” “Thank The LORD! Who is this thanks to come from? Verse 2 says, “Let the redeemed of the Lord say it.” The LORD…IS…GOOD!” He is good, devoid of evil, honorable, -{James 2;7}, beautiful, beneficial, noble, pleasing,useful, honest, overflowing with generosity, … God’s goodness is seen in right behavior…stemming forth as a result of His nature. He is”good!” He does well, or that which is beneficial to others. GOD’S Goodness is expressed in His Giving and Forgiving.
” The Bible defines God’s goodness in two ways. One has to do with His character; the other focuses on His actions. Ps. 119:68 captures both when it says of God: “You are good and You do what is good . . . ” The first half of that verse focuses on that fact that God is by nature good. That is, He is “morally excellent, extraordinarily beautiful, deeply glad, and extravagantly bountiful.” But since this is God we’re talking about, this goodness ascribed to Him is raised to the highest possible levels.
Think about it: God is the original definition of good. He is good in and of Himself. For us, goodness is an added quality. But it comes naturally for Him. God is not just the greatest of beings; He is the Best…
But how do you see the true character of a person? By his actions. So the second strand of definition for God’s goodness concentrates on what He does. And the Bible is replete with descriptions that point to His kindness, His mercy, His steadfast love, His generosity. God is disposed to give to human beings beyond all deserving, all the time.
Have you ever thought of God as generous toward you? Can you believe that when He looks at you with all your baggage, all your junk, all your hang-ups, He says, “I want to be generous to you. I can’t wait to pour out on you that which will make you happy – not because you deserve it, but because there’s something about Who I am that loves to overflow in extravagant ways upon you.”
The Bible says those are actually God’s thoughts about you. God is for you. He has your back. He is there, plotting to do you good. You are the object of His affection, and because of His divine nature, all that He expresses comes from an expansive, over-whelming, God-sized generosity toward you.”–{Lloyd Stilley }

- HIS SPIRIT IS A – GOOD GIFT -{Luke 11;13}
- HIS IS A GIVING HEART AND IS – GOOD -{Mark 10:18}
- HIS CREATION IS – GOOD -{1 Tim 4;4}
- HIS CHILDREN LIVING IN UNITY IS – GOOD -{Ps 133;1}
- HIS GOSPEL IS- GOOD- {1 Cor 15:1-8}
- HIS PRESENCE IS THE BELIEVERS – GOOD- {Ps 73:28}
- HIS PURPOSES CANNOT BE THWARTED AND ARE – GOOD-{Gen 50:20}
- HIS TEACHING THROUGH AFFLICTION IS- GOOD-{ Ps 119:71}
- HE ASSURANCE IS A COMFORT THAT HE WORKS ALL THINGS TOGETHER FOR – GOOD -{Rom 8:28}
- HE IS GOOD AND DOES GOOD -{ Ps 119:68}
