We are all motivated by different things, but here are Five Godly Motivations for you to continue praying…
    1. IT’S A LOVE ISSUE – “He who has My commandments and keeps them is the one who loves Me. ” -{John 14:21}-Since prayer is a command, and to obey His command is to express love to Him, that’s one great motivation to keep praying- {John 14:21}
    2. IT’S DOING HIS WILL – “pray without ceasing;…for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.”- {1 Thess 5:17-18}. This is another reason to keep praying. 
    3. HE ANSWERS PRAYERS – according to His Will– “This is the confidence which we have before Him, that, if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us in whatever * we ask, we know that we have the requests which we have asked from Him”.{1 John 5:14-15}. This is another motivation to keep praying.
    4. INFLUENCE; YOU CAN HAVE INFLUENCE IN THE LIVES OF OTHERS; “Epaphras, who is one of you and a servant of Christ Jesus, sends greetings. He is always wrestling in prayer for you, that you may stand firm in all the will of God, mature and fully assured.”-{Col 4:12}.You can pray even when distanced from someone and have INFLUENCE as you have direct access to God Himself! No one is outside the realm of you praying for ,”…Pray for ALL People…” -{ 1 Tim 2:1}
    5. THE ALTERNATIVE IS TO SPIRITUALLY FAINT.– “Now He was telling them a parable to show that at all times they ought to pray and not to lose heart,”- “{Luke 18:1}. “Lose heart” comes from a word which means means, “to become weary give in, faint, turn coward.” It is to get so discouraged they want to quit, Don’t do this! This is a prayer for His return-{Read v2-5 especially v8}. His second coming. And not to faint, lose heart while living in light of His second coming! Pray for, strength to persist, despite the difficulties, opposition to the Gospel, to those who would mock or be skeptical towards His coming, or to losing heart in the meantime. Persist in praying. This is another Motivation to Keep Praying because you know the alternative!
If you find yourself overwhelmed, growing weary, losing heart, speak the truth to yourself why you should keep on praying,… because it’s a LOVE ISSUE, it’s HIS WILL for you, be encouraged HE ANSWERS THE PRAYERS according to His will, aligned with His Word. You can have INFLUENCE on the live of others through prayers. The alternative to prayer? Is to spiritually faint, to lose heart and spiral down into despair.
Keep PRAYING… maybe put this outline somewhere where you can look at again and encourage yourself in those moments when you doubt why you should even bother praying and the evil one shots fiery darts at your mind with “questions,”… “what’s the point…God doesn’t hear you…,” you can respond with TRUTH, HIS WORD…and Persevere. Keep on keeping on, and as you do you are expressing LOVE to him.
Have you ever seen Prayer as a LOVE issue and when you pray…you are EXPRESSING LOVE to Him?
You may have to honestly say,
“LORD I don’t feel like praying, I’m discouraged, overwhelmed, BUT as an EXPRESSION OF LOVE FOR YOU I AM GOING TO PRAY…” and as you do pray…you are expressing love to Him. That alone is enough to encourage us to persist in praying, out of LOVE for Him.
