SOMETIMES PAIN, SORROW, SUFFERING, and HEARTBREAK COME FIRST, AND THEN THE JOY; CONSIDER THESE VERSES…
- Sometimes there is weeping, the pain first, and then the joy follows, such as in Psalm 30:5-“…Weeping may stay for the night BUT Joy comes in the morning.” There is the experience of weeping, without the joy, but Joy comes! Because God makes sure it does!
- Psalm 125;5 “Those who plant in TEARS will harvest with shouts of JOY!” Note tears first, then Joy follows!
- In John 10:20- 22. “I tell you the truth, you will WEEP AND MOURN over what is going to happen to Me, but the world will rejoice. You will GRIEVE, BUT YOUR GRIEF WILL SUDDENLY TURN TO WONDERFUL JOY. It will be like a woman suffering the pains of labor. When her child is born, her anguish gives way to joy because she has brought a new baby into the world. So you have sorrow now, but I will see you again; then you WILL REJOICE and NO ONE CAN ROB YOU OF THAT JOY.”
- And in Romans 12:15 the command “Rejoice with those who rejoice, weep with those who weep!” And in these verses we see JOY Comes AFTER THE PAIN.
THERE IS AN END TO SORROW;
“And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Behold, the dwelling place of God is with man. He will dwell with them, and they will be his people, and God Himself will be with them as their God. He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.”
And He who was seated on the throne said, “Behold, I am making all things new.” Also he said, “Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true.”-{Rev 21:3-5}
So, “sorrow” that precedes “rejoicing” comes to and end. Jesus puts an end to the sorrow,… PERMANTLY!! GLORY!!!
God Bless,
