Faith looks back to recall God’s personal faithfulness to them in specific ways. And so we can speak to ourselves “My God HAS provided all of my needs according to His glorious riches in Christ.” The passage actually says “My God WILL provide…”but while praying tonight I was reminded to look back over forty years and say He HAS provided… that’s my testimony to His dealings in my life. It was in the midst of pressure when I had it come to mind to look back to strengthen and fuel for my faith in the midst of a new testing. I could affirm “My God WILL provide that’s a statement of faith. But as I was thinking as I was about to pray I was reminded what He HAS done. In other words there is a History of God who HAS Met my every need according to His glorious riches IN Christ-(Read Phil 4:19). When I used the word HAS it forced me to look away from my present to look back to what history I have with experiencing His faithfulness, intimacy love to me in specific personal ways!

Perhaps as you pray, Pray from the perspective of looking back at what God HAS Done in meeting all of your needs…. Ask the LORD to remind you of how and where He did so as fuel for your faith to trust Him in your present difficulties! Dissolve the present doubts by remembering how God HAS met you in the past!

God HAS Met

God WILL Meet…

God Bless,

Aidan.
