Faith Attacked, Faith Developed, Faith Displayed.

Recently I had someone write and ask me, “What if I ask the Lord for help but He decides not to help?”

My answer;
He Can’t do that. That would be to deny Himself, “He remains faithful.” He may like Mary and Martha when they send word to Him regarding Lazarus illness. He waits and does not help immediately but tells them later “…did I not tell you if you only Believe you will see the Glory of God.”
Or with Paul when He asked for help to be delivered from “the thorn”- He did something different so he would be kept from spiritual pride, depend upon Him and experience His sufficient grace and power in weakness. He will always help, it may be what we ask for in the way we think or it may be delayed. It was the fourth watch of the night – they say in the darkest part, and then He came on the water. His delay was not His denial. All to incite faith in Him. Same as John 6:6- the great impossibility . .. They looked and concluded no way could it be done. But they did include Him. “He tested them for He Himself knew what He was going to do .”

Pray. Commit it to Him

Don’t lean to your own understanding

Acknowledge Him and He WILL direct your paths -{Prov 3:5-6}

Do the next thing, Do The Right Thing, before you.

We will pray for help that comes from Him – Psalm 121:1,” my help comes from The LORD, maker if Heaven and earth.” Help at His throne “Come to the Throne of grace…to receive mercy grace help in time of need .”- {Heb 415:16}.The way it is written is,”the needy one’s,” are to come. if you are needy He says, “come, confidently to receive, mercy, grace, help…”-“…He remains faithful. He cannot deny Himself!”

The attack on the mind to attack your faith in Him …Attacks of Doubts arise, “But God…. It is written .., I the LORD do not change ….when we are faithless He REMAINS Faithful… Pray lest you faint… ” {Matt 4,4,7,10, Malachi 3:6; 2 Tim 2:13; Luke 18:1}.Faith comes by hearing and hearing from the Word -{Rom 10:17.}. Hudson Taylor message in his latter days  was “Hold that God is faithful.” “Without faith it is impossible to please God and He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. – { Heb 11:6}. Hebrews 11 is a chapter on “by faith,” people overcoming. Read the chapter  and underline those two words and in the end the Divine approval, “all these gained approval through their faith.”

THE TWO REALITIES;

Your faith is attacked, through thoughts against the character of God, His trustworthiness. Faith is developed, displayed, on the anvil of life. Abraham demonstrated, the battle the choice.

The Two RealitiesThe “Reality ” of what is seen, and The “Reality” of what is Unseen! “Without weakening in his faith, he faced the fact that his body was as good as dead—since he was about a hundred years old—and that Sarah’s womb was also dead.  Yet he did not waver through unbelief regarding the promise of God, but was strengthened in his faith and gave glory to God,  being fully persuaded that God had power to do what He had promised.”–  {Rom 4:19-21}.

Faith is a choice. Choose Him, to believe He is trustworthy, in doing so He is glorified. So the attack on your faith is an opportunity to grow and glorify Him, Unbelief, which is a refusal to trust Him, is an attack on His character and His glory! ”

“The just shall live by faith.”-{Rom 1:17:}.

“We walk by faith and not by sight.”  -{2 Cor 5:7}

“Without faith it is IMPOSSIBLE to please God.” – {Heb 11:6}

“All these gained approval through their faith.” –  {Heb 11:39}

“….grew in faith, giving glory to God.} –  {Rom 4:19-21}.

The attack is on your faith. It began in the garden, would they trust God, the serpent, themselves? The choice was disastrous. The choice is always a choice of Him, His Word, or someone or something else. We are called to “renew our minds so we may approve what is the good, pleasing acceptable will of God.” His Word, is His way to do so. The Spirit of GOD enlightens, empowers us to choose Him. It is not easy, when feelings, sight, a worlds system says otherwise, but you can trust the One who loves you. Look and remember Calvary! “The life I live, I live by faith in the Son of God who loved me and gave Himself up for me.” {Gal 2:20}. Love can be trusted. His love for you the motivation to trust, and grow in faith against the background of difficulties, trials.

If Moses had never had been at the Red Sea, neither he nor others would have known God can open up the Red Sea. He had a choice to make. Choose to obey what He had told him to do or not! His trial was the beginning of his testimony to the deliverance of God.It was in the difficulties he saw Him put Himself on display. Some times He delivers from. Other times He imparts sufficient grace to sustain us in, such as Paul and His thorn, not somehow but triumphantly! GOD IS FAITHFUL! God’s character our resting place, even when we are faithless, it does not change who He is… comfort yourself in Him.

“If we are faithless, He remains faithful, for He cannot deny Himself.” – {2 Tim 2:13}

Read Romans 4:19-21 again and note these three…

Faith Attacked

Faith Developed

Faith Displayed

Without weakening in his faith, he faced the fact that his body was as good as dead—since he was about a hundred years old—and that Sarah’s womb was also dead.  Yet he did not waver through unbelief regarding the promise of God, but was strengthened in his faith and gave glory to God,  being fully persuaded that God had power to do what He had promised.”–{Rom 4:19-21}.

KNOW Your Difficulty is His opportunity to Develop and display your faith and Glorify Him as you do!

God is faithful!
