4 PROMISES FOR YOU TODAY AND EVERY DAY!

We’ve all done it. Made promises we didn’t keep. For whatever reason, Or had promises made to us that weren’t kept. So we become cynical, doubting, unsure, and not really trusting when someone promises us something especially the more spectacular and valuable, beneficial and what we really need to help us, it may be. And we often carry those doubts, unsure thoughts, and feelings when it comes to God! We are not sure He will do what He says. After all a promise is only as good as the person who promises, and our experience is usually with fellow flawed and sinful human beings. And therefore the root of our doubts spring forth and carry over to our view of God when it comes to His promises. We doubt His Person! We doubt His Promises as a result. The fault is not with God but with us! So, the Holy Spirit takes His Word and as we read, meditate, and apply it our faith grows, and strengthens us. Here are 4 promises to strengthen your faith. And 4 Promises God will keep, because unlike us He is reliable, faithful. He cannot lie. He cannot fail to keep His Word. He has the power and the heart to fulfill His heart!

Be encouraged as you meditate, pray, and rest in Him who is faithful to fulfill His Word. He has never failed to fulfill one and will not begin with you or me…

1.- The Promise Of PEACE Through Prayer;

“Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” -{Phil 4:6-7}. The context is anxious times. We can exchange our anxiety that tears away at us with His peace through believing prayer. Taking Him at His Word!

2.- The Promise Of POWER;

” I can do all things through Him who strengthens me.” -{Phil 4:13}. The context in v 10-13 is contentment whether having little or much, the key is not in a change of circumstances but in Christ who strengthens, and empowers us to be content, and satisfied with Him!

3.- The Promise Of PROVISION;

“And my God will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus.”-{Phil 4:19}. The context from v 17-19 is Paul had received a sacrificial gift from the Philippian believers and he assures them that he was not seeking their gift but the reward that would come to them which was such a sweet aroma to the LORD. And he assures them that God would supply all of their needs according to the riches of Christ! And how rich is He? Limitless resources. So they could rest and trust Him who is faithful! As can you!

4. -The Promise Of His Permanent PRESENCE;

“I will never desert you, nor will I ever forsake you,” -{Heb 13:5}. The believers were suffering and the writer assured them that not the persecution they were undergoing would never cause God to abandon, or disown them. He was committed. Indeed in Greek, there are five negatives in the verse to make one positive that He would forever be with them. What a wonderful promise to a suffering one, perhaps you today? That no amount of suffering will cause God to abandon or forsake you. It is not based on how you feel but on what He promises because He is reliable, faithful, and true! {Read also Phil 4:5- “The LORD is Near.”}

The Promises are Personal…

God bless, Praise Him, and APPLY His promises and SHARE them to encourage others that God may be exalted as they trust in Him and find Him…FAITHFUL to Fulfill His Word! He cannot and will not fail, He is GOD!
