“Remember Jesus Christ, Raised from the dead…This is my Gospel.“-{2 Tim 2:8}.

The word “Remember” is a present imperative. It is a command to keep doing this. Continually recall Jesus Christ and in particular, as raised from the dead…

The Resurrection is a Declaration of POWER;

Power  over sin, satan, the grave, power to save, rescue deliver sinners!

The Resurrection is a Declaration that ACCEPTANCE. 
GOD ACCEPTS the Sacrifice of Jesus Christ on our…your…behalf! REMEMBER JESUS CHRIST RAISED FROM THE DEAD!-{Rom 4:25}

REMEMBER;

1. REMEMBER JESUS CHRIST OUR SAVIOR;

” If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved” (Romans 10:9). Saving Faith requires belief in the Resurrection. “I am the resurrection and the life; whoever believes in Me even though he dies, shall live again.”-{John 11:25}

2. REMEMBER JESUS CHRIST OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS;

“[Jesus] was delivered up for our trespasses and raised for our justification” ( Rom 4:25). In order for God to declare us righteous He had to raise Jesus Christ from the dead!

3. REMEMBER JESUS CHRIST OUR ADVOCATE;

“Who is to condemn? Christ Jesus is the one who died—more than that, who was raised—who is at the right hand of God, who indeed is interceding for us” (Romans 8:34). We have an accuser and we have an Advocate with God -JESUS, Defending our case, our Advocate with the Father -{Read 1 John 2;1}

4. REMEMBER THE NECESSITY OF THE RESURRECTION OF JESUS CHRIST; 

“If Christ has not been raised, your faith is futile and you are still in your sins” (1 Corinthians 15:17)” To be still in our sins, means we are separated from God, under the authority of satan-{Eph 2:1-2}; under the wrath of God-{Romans 1:18}. No Resurrection, No Forgiveness! How bleak!

5. REMEMBER JESUS CHRIST’S GIFT OF THE HOLY SPIRIT TO US.

THE HOLY SPIRIT WOULD NOT HAVE BEEN SENT WITHOUT THE RESURRECTION OF JESUS CHRIST;

“I tell you the truth, it is to your advantage that I go away; if I do not go away, the Holy Spirit will not come to you; but if I go, I’ll send Him to you. And when He comes, He’ll convict the world of sin and righteousness and judgment; But when He, the Spirit of truth, comes, He will guide you into all the truth. He will not speak on his own; He will speak only what he hears, and He will tell you what is yet to come. He will glorify Me because it is from Me that He will receive what He will make known to you. All that belongs to the Father is mine. That is why I said the Spirit will receive from Me what He will make known to you…”-{John 16:7,13-15}. The Holy Spirit is a gift from The LORD Jesus Christ to us.- “…sealed in Him with the Holy Spirit of promise, who is given as a pledge of our inheritance, with a view to the redemption of God’s own possession, to the praise of His glory.”-{Ephesians 1:13-14}. The word “sealed” was used to speak of ownership, security, authenticity! He is our Pledge. Our Guarantee, that we belong to Jesus Christ and one of His ministries is to REMIND us, bring to our Remembrance what the LORD Jesus has said… He will bring His Word back to our mind when we read or memorize it. This is a Gift from God to us!

6. REMEMBER JESUS CHRIST OUR HOPE OF HEAVEN. {OUR DESTINATION!}

“Father, I desire that they also, whom You have given Me, BE WITH Me WHERE I AM, so that they may see My glory which You have given Me,…”-{John 17:24}; “Do not let your heart be troubled; believe in God, believe also in Me. In My Father’s house are many dwelling places; if it were not so, I would have told you; for I GO TO PREPARE A PLACE for YOU. If I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself, that where I am, there YOU MAY BE ALSO.”-{John 14:1-3};
You are not going to be where He is not! Where He is You will be and where you are He will be! Inseparable! And in His presence is fullness of joy and at His right hand pleasure’s FOREVER MORE!
“Absent from the body present WITH the LORD.”-{2 Cor 5:8}. Our future destination is Christ! To be “with” Him! This world is not our home, we are heading Home to be “with” Him, who has made it all possible through His death and Resurrection! “Remember Jesus Christ, raised from the dead…This is Good News!”

7. THE FUTILITY OF JESUS CHRIST HAD NOT BEEN RAISED FROM THE DEAD;

For without the Resurrection Paul says, “…we are of all people most to be pitied.But Christ has indeed been raised from the dead, the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep. “-{ 1 Cor 15:19-20}, If Jesus Christ was not raised above everyone else we are to be pitied. But God indeed imparts HOPE to us, “But Christ indeed has been raised from the dead,” and we have been saved, are righteous, have an Advocate, are Forgiven have the Holy Spirit and our living by faith in Him is not futile but one of Hope, a glorious hope of being with Him! – {Read John 14:1-6}.

GOOD NEWS;

If Jesus Christ was not raised from the dead, we are above everyone else to be most pitied. For if He had not been raised you are still dead in your sins, without hope, without God. You have no Savior, No salvation, No justification, no acceptance with God. No Advocate before God, No Spirit of God. No future hope of Heaven… you are to be pitied among all people if God did not raise Jesus from the dead. The Resurrection is not just a time of year in competition with Easter bunnies, chocolate, for without it there is no legitimate hope and you might as well, eat, drink be merry for tomorrow you die! But God!!! He did Raise Jesus from the dead and commands us to REMEMBER JESUS CHRIST, RAISED FROM THE DEAD! And says THIS IS GOOD NEWS!
How often throughout a day do you let bad news enter your thinking and give way to mulling over it again and again whether it be real or not. We are constantly thinking and we have an evil vicious foe, who knows he cannot have our soul, but seeks to distort God to us and distract us from devotion to Him and be ineffective for His kingdom business and this he does with “doubts… accusations.., condemnation.. fears… anxious” thoughts, to us seeking that we embrace them and be deviated from the LORD and who we are “In Christ” and His goal for us on this earth which is to love HIM and LOVE OTHERS for His sake! Think on it this way, if you were fishing and catching fish consistently would you change the bait, lure you are using? No, you would not. Why not? Because it is working, the fish are enticed and caught! So in the spiritual realm the evil one as Paul says in Ephesians 6 uses “fiery arrows” “thoughts” to undermine our faith, he uses “doubts” about God, His Word, who you are “In Christ,”  thoughts to captivate our attention and in continuing to dwell on these “doubt’s” we become distracted, at time demoralized as we look at life apart from the LORD and who He is and what He has done and says! “But God…” has provided His Son, his Word, truth to combat the evil fiery arrows such as doubt and accusation and condemnation to our mind. When the though comes, recognize it reject it and replace it with his Word and dwell , think , think , think word for word, phrase for phrase about what He says for it is TRUTH and Truth Liberates us.  It  is what the Holy Spirit uses to continually free us  from false concepts, and the ability to identify the evil ones devices and to walk in the liberty that is ours “in Christ,” that we are no longer prisoners of the evil one or slaves to sin.
Our standing with God is perfect.
It is our Understanding that we need to grow in!
His Word and Spirit enable us to do so. That’s Great, terrific news!
 “It was for freedom that Christ set us free; therefore keep standing firm and do not be subject again to a yoke of slavery.”-{Gal 5:1}.
  
 
RETRAIN your thinking and where better to start than on JESUS CHRIST and what He has done… RAISED from the dead… and the implications to your life and that of others you can share with!
TRAIN YOUR THINKING…TO THINK ON GOOD NEWS. Ask the LORD to remind you through out the day. PICK a verse and memorize, meditate upon it such as 2 Tim 2:8 or Romans 4:25. Write it out and perhaps put on your bathroom mirror and for the next month every time you brush your teeth you will read it and before you know it, you will have memorized to recall and fuel for the HOLY Spirit to help you bring to remembrance…to strengthen your faith, exalt, praise Jesus Christ and motivation to share this GOOD NEWS with others both believers and no believers that they too may know Him and worship Him in truth and spirit. 

REMEMBER CONTINUALLY TODAY… JESUS CHRIST… RAISED FROM THE DEAD! Paul says, “THIS IS MY GOSPEL”… MY GOOD NEWS!

 If you have to “think” today, and you do, “think” on the TRUTH about Jesus Christ and remember His Resurrection and the hope it imparts to you and to be shared by you with others of the GOOD NEWS of JESUS CHRIST, RAISED FROM THE DEAD!

 Think on some “Good news” for a change today and the good news we can always think on the HOPE of His resurrection and the implications for us!
