With your passing into eternity rapidly approaching with each breath you take…as Followers of the LORD Jesus…

1.- PREPARE; prepare to meet your God. “So then each one of us will give an account of himself to God.”-( Romans 14:12)

2.-PERSPECTIVE;  You dont always have to fight your circumstances, but seek to use them to advance the Gospel-“Now I want you to know, brothers and sisters, that my circumstances have turned out for the greater progress of the gospel,”-(Phil 1:12)

3.- PRAYER-  God provides us with the ability to go directly to Him through the work of the LORD Jesus Christ in Prayer! He provides us with His Word so that we may know Him, His will, ways, and Provides us with the Holy Spirit to enlighten us, empowerus equi us to know Him and do His will.. He provides, His people to walk with and to accomplish His Will.  Let’s Just consider one of His provisions PRAYER..,

PRAYER; Is not a waste but a WEAPON God has given to help advance His kingdom for His Glory! “With every prayer and request, pray at all times in the Spirit, and with this in view, be alert with all perseverance and every request for all the saints, and pray in my behalf, that speech may be given to me in the opening of my mouth, to make known with boldness the mystery of the gospel, for which I am an ambassador in chains; that in proclaiming it I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.( Eph 6:18-20)

4.- PROMISES;  God not only provides us with Prayer, access to Him and His ability to answer prayers according to His will acording to 1 John 5:14-15. Take time to read and note the phrase “according to His will.” With Prayer He graciosuly and lavioushly provides His followers with The Promises of God as found exclusively in His WORD. They are Giving to encourage, empower you. Use them! “Through these He has granted to us His precious and magnificent PROMISES, so that by them you may become partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world on account of lust.”-(2 Peter 1:4)

5.- PERSONAL; focus in on and develop your personal relationship with God. How? Through knowing Him through His Word. -“Then beginning with Moses and with all the Prophets, He explained to them the things written about Himself in all the Scriptures.”-(Luke 24:27). Pursuing Knowing and Loving Him better and also loving others involves person to person interaction.

6.- PRIORITY; Love is what is to distinguish the follower of Christ from all others! Love for God, love for others. ““Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?” And Jesus replied to him, “‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. The second is like it, ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself [that is, unselfishly seek the best or higher good for others].’ The whole Law and the [writings of the] Prophets depend on these two commandments.”-{Matthew 22:36-40 Amplified Bible}; Love’s behavior.-{Read 1 Cor13:4-7; 1 John 3:16-18}; and includes loving even our enemies! {Read Matt5:43-48}.

Living in light of eternity involves … Preparation. Perspective. Praying. Promises. Personal commitment. Priority in life’s relationships! 

PRACTICE THEM.  Through changing our THINKING alowing the SCRIPTURES to change and influence our living! Renewing our  mind so as to comform to the will of God in the Word of God as the Holy Spirit works IN us to bring about change alligning up with the will of God for our living!-{Read Roman 12:2-3; Phil 2:13 nlt}

 

MOTIVATION FOR ETERNAL LIVING;

Living in light of eternity is navigating through the circumstances ,events of our lives in this world, and though our circumstances may differ…our goal is the same,

A.-WORSHIP OF CHRIST. “Worthy is the Lamb THAT WAS SLAIN to receive power and riches and wisdom and might and honor and glory and blessing.”-{Rev 5:11}

B.-CHRIST EXALTED! -“Christ will even now, as always, be exalted in my body, whether by life or by death.“-{Read Phil 1:20}. 

C.- WORK FOR CHRIST;  YOUR LABOR IN THE LORD IS NOT WASTED!“Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, BECAUSE you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.”-{1 Corinthians 15:58}.
