Such a bad bad morning … very little energy, bedridden, hard to move for days… been a tough few days. (weeks). After one “
good” day last week it was like the bottom dropped out and I could not get the pain from the muscle disease under control and the deep deep fatigue that went with it…
Pain and exhaustion. Bed again … just so weak , hard to move.
This morning it was difficult to move so Called a dear Dr…for some advice …
And by His grace…after a four hour infusion I got some energy. Like being lifted out of a pit….
Tomorrow I meet with another Dr at Hospital regards possibility for infusions for a different illness …
Battling several incurable diseases , “But God…”
Exhausted …but thanks to Him for His Word. I have been in bed for days and 1 John 5:1-5 has been my comfort, companion and delight… if you want to have your spiritual tastebuds stimulated. Read 1 John and underline the word “KNOW,…” For example it’s used 6 times between 5: 13-21 and apart from once,it is used to speak of certainty! How wonderful we can know for certain that by His doing we possess the certainty of eternal life!
While John 20:31- shows us the reason for John’s Gospel was that we might “BELIEVE” in the LORD Jesus and have life .
Here 1 John it is written to the followers of Christ that they may “KNOW“ that they possess eternal life through our LORD JESUS CHRIST!
* We BELIEVE to Know Him
* We KNOW Him because we believe and with it this powerful verse ,”These things I have written to you who BELIEVE in the name of the Son of God, so that you may KNOW that you HAVE eternal life.” -( 1 John 5:13)
This is beautiful, the words “Know,” and “Have” are both in the present tense with continual implication that is permanent! “Know” for certainty – permanent knowledge! And also the word “have” is present tense and means to possess… speaks of a continual possession, that can’t be taken from you, can’t lose it because you have it, courtesy of the LORD Jesus ,”Whoever believes that Jesus is the Christ is born of God.”-(1 John 5:1). Some people say, like the nurse I once met as I sat in a doctors office – just don’t tell me that a person can know that they are going to Heaven …-but 1 John 5:13 Assures us we can “KNOW” for certain!!! How wonderful the Word of God, gifted to us from the God whose Word it is!
How blessed in the midst of it all He points me to Himself and His Word comforts, ignites my heart. Just as Psalm 119:50 says
God bless
