I’ve begun reading through Mark’s Gospel and one of the truths to see and think about is The Testimonies concerning Jesus … Mark chapter 1 shows several who testify to who Jesus was and is… read and enjoy Him and what was testified about Him…

1.- MARK Testifies- 1:1-“ The beginning of the gospel of Jesus Christ, THE SON OF GOD,”

2.- ISAIAH the Prophet Testifies – 1:2-3 – “…Prepare the way of THE LORD, Make His paths straight!’”

3.- JOHN The Baptist Testifies – 1:7-8 -“And he was preaching, saying, “After me One is coming who is MIGHTIER THAN I, and I am not fit to bend down and untie the straps of His sandals. I baptized you with water; but HE WILL BAPTIZE YOU WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT.”

4.- The FATHER Testifies– 1:10-11-“10 And immediately coming up out of the water, He saw the heavens opening, and the Spirit, like a dove, descending upon Him; and a voice came from the heavens: “YOU ARE MY BELOVED SON; in YOU I AM WELL PLEASED.”

5.- DEMON Testifies -1:23-25 – “Have You come to DESTROY us. I know who You are- THE HOLY ONE OF GOD.”

6.- CLEANSED LEPER Testifies – 1:40-45 – “And a man with leprosy came to Jesus, imploring Him and kneeling down, and saying to Him, “If You are willing, You can make me clean.” Moved with COMPASSION, Jesus reached out with His hand and touched him, and said to him, “I am willing; BE CLEANSED.” And immediately the leprosy left him, and he was cleansed. And He sternly warned him and immediately sent him away, and He *said to him, “See that you say nothing to anyone; but go, show yourself to the priest and offer for your cleansing what Moses commanded, as a testimony to them.” But he went out and began to PROCLAIM it freely and to SPREAD THE NEWSAROUND, to such an extent that Jesus could no longer publicly enter a city,...”

7. – JESUS Himself  Testifies – 2:28 -“So THE SON OF MAN IS LORD, even of the Sabbath.”

 

  • Mark, Isaiah, John the Baptist, The Father, demon, and Cleansed Leper All testify, and now is your turn…. who is Jesus to you? How can you share Him with others? What truth would you share about Him? 

 

  • Jesus is the Christ, {Messiah, the promised One who came to save, rescue people from sin, and reconcile to God}; He is the Son of God, LORD, imparts the Holy Spirit, Beloved of the Father who is well pleased with Him, whom demons testify His power to destroy them and that He is the Holy One of God in whom they fear, and also has the compassion and power to heal!

Consider Him! Celebrate Him and Share Him!
