“God made Him who HAD NO SIN to be sin for us, SO THAT in Him we might become the righteousness of God” -(2 Corinthians 5:21).

He had to live without sin and in perfect righteousness – and this He alone could for He alone IS Righteousness! He lived in perfect righteousness. In perfect alignment with God in word, thought, and deed,-in order to offer a sinless substitute in payment for unrighteous sinners to be accepted by God! I

It is not the sin-sick soul- trying- the works of “self-righteousness” being presented to God as though sufficient, meeting the full requirements of perfect righteousness – as if they could to offer their own sinful life and “good deeds” to God in hope of being accepted by God, for we are not accepted on our sinful unrighteous merits whose very offerings are “filthy”- unclean, unacceptable- an affront to God as they seek to substitute the work of His righteous Son as inadequate in and of Himself- perish the thought! “For all of us have become like one who is unclean, And all our righteous deeds are like a filthy garment; And all of us wither like a leaf, And our wrongdoings, like the wind, take us away.”-{Isaiah 64:6}.

Every second of every minute of every hour of every day of every week of every month of every year He lived upon this sin sick world surrounded by sin, not only never having sinned though tempted, He lived in complete and perfect harmony in righteous word, thought and deed with God’s perfect standard of righteousness … so as His sacrifice – a righteous life could be offered as your sin substitute upon that cross- the just for the unjust-!

His righteous life is offered as a sin sacrifice in exchange for our unrighteous lives. Oh praise Him! “Behold the LAMB OF GOD who takes away the sin of the world!”

And because of His sinless righteous life, God having accepted His sacrifice to satisfy Him raised Him from the dead as proof His sacrifice was once for all sufficient so that He could impart to your account the very righteousness of Christ forever before Him so that you stand before Him as it were Christ Himself standing before The Father and this all “by God’s doing” who placed you “in Christ,” and made Him your righteousness!

THE INSUFFICIENCY OF OUR SINFUL SACRIFICES VERSUS THE ONE-TIME ALL SUFFICIENCY OF THE SINLESS SACRIFICE OF OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST.

CONSIDER JESUS!
“The old system under the law of Moses was only a shadow, a dim preview of the good things to come, not the good things themselves. The sacrifices under that system were repeated again and again, year after year, but they were never able to provide perfect cleansing for those who came to worship. If they could have provided perfect cleansing, the sacrifices would have stopped, for the worshipers would have been purified once for all time, and their feelings of guilt would have disappeared.
But instead, those sacrifices actually reminded them of their sins year after year. For it is not possible for the blood of bulls and goats to take away sins.  That is why, when Christ came into the world, he said to God,
“You did not want animal sacrifices or sin offerings. But you have given me a body to offer. You were not pleased with burnt offerings or other offerings for sin. Then I said, ‘Look, I have come to do your will, O God—as is written about me in the Scriptures.’”
First, Christ said, “You did not want animal sacrifices or sin offerings or burnt offerings or other offerings for sin, nor were you pleased with them” (though they are required by the law of Moses).  Then he said, “Look, I have come to do your will.” He cancels the first covenant in order to put the second into effect. For God’s will was for us to be made holy by the sacrifice of the body of Jesus Christ, once for all time.
Under the old covenant, the priest stands and ministers before the altar day after day, offering the same sacrifices again and again, which can never take away sins. But our High Priest offered himself to God as a single sacrifice for sins, good for all time. Then he sat down in the place of honor at God’s right hand. There he waits until His enemies are humbled and made a footstool under his feet. For by that one offering he forever made perfect those who are being made holy.
And the Holy Spirit also testifies that this is so. For he says,
“This is the new covenant I will make with my people on that day,  says the Lord: I will put my laws in their hearts, and I will write them on their minds.” Then he says,

“I will never again remember their sins and lawless deeds.”

And when sins have been forgiven, there is no need to offer any more sacrifices.

“And so, dear brothers and sisters, we can boldly enter heaven’s Most Holy Place because of the blood of Jesus. By His death, Jesus opened a new and life-giving way through the curtain into the Most Holy Place. And since we have a great High Priest who rules over God’s house, let us go right into the presence of God with sincere hearts fully trusting Him. For our guilty consciences have been sprinkled with Christ’s blood to make us clean, and our bodies have been washed with pure water.
Let us hold tightly without wavering to the hope we affirm, for God can be trusted to keep His promise.”-{Hebrews 10:1-23}
“Complete in Thee no work of mine can ever take the place of Thine, among the chosen shall I be and I will stand complete in Thee!”

Come let us adore Him, Christ the LORD!

His sinless life, His sacrificial death, offered to God in exchange for your soul-yes you… was accepted, your sin- all of them canceled, adopted into God’s family, peace with God standing in grace- in the forever favor of God-{Romans 5:2}- clothed in the Righteousness of our LORD Jesus Christ!

Breathtaking the Love of God for us, for you, for me , for sinners to hear of the Righteousness of Christ that by His doing we too can be recipients of it through the great sacrifice and exchange for our souls!

“and may be found in Him, NOT HAVING A RIGHTEOUSNESS OF OUR OWN derived from the Law, but that which is through faith in Christ, THE RIGHTEOUSNESS WHICH COMES FROM GOD on the basis of faith,”-{Philippians 3:9}

“But by His doing you are in Christ Jesus, who became to us wisdom from God, and righteousness and sanctification, and redemption, so that, just as it is written, “LET HIM WHO BOASTS, BOAST IN THE LORD.” –{1 Cor 10:30-31}
