Recently I asked a Medical person assisting me, “What is the One Thing you believe that is outside of the “ALL things” God promises to work together for your good?”

If there is “one thing” you embrace and believe that is outside of God’s ability to work “ALL things together for good” then that One thing is Greater than God!

And that also is the moment you and I wrongly believe and confess that we are

  • WISER THAN GOD, that
  • His Word cannot be trusted,
  • He is a liar and is
  • He is Impotent to do as He says when He says, ”ALL Things” it doesn’t mean “ALL THINGS” because you or I in our hearts believe we have discovered the ONE THING outside of His claim! Hmm, now you or I may not outwardly say that but is that what our attitude says when we inwardly say it!

Think about it… as devastating as perhaps the present thing you are going through is… it is NOT outside of the “ALL things” that God can and will use together for good in developing your faith, displaying Himself to and through you, and exalting His Name as He uses “all things” to conform you to the image of Christ!-{Read Romans 8:29}

The evil one whispering lies be it a sin issue, failure, yours or another, a great loss, bankruptcy, divorce, illness, Hurt of various types, or Suffering as a result of being a follower of Christ…to question, doubt God to you is slandering Him to you, that in turn, you may agree and by doing so take His Name in vain, by using it in a way that is not true of Him. You end up slandering God!

The evil one is a liar. For GOD is ABLE to incorporate it “ALL” under His authority and compassionate care and weave it ALL into the working it out for “good,” not only the eternal Good WHICH IS THE ULTIMATE GOAL… but also the temporal good, which times can be such as

  1. God causes ALL things Together to work for GOOD can be seen in His comforting us in our afflictions through His Word by His Spirit so that we can be tenderized and equipped to comfort others.-{Read 2 Cor 1:3-4; Psalm 119:50}.
  2. His working all things together for GOOD can be seen through His taking us through trials not to destroy but develop perseverance, spiritual maturity, wisdom, and dependence upon Him as in James 1:2-5.
  3. His working all things together for GOOD” can be seen through times where He keeps and delivers us from dangers as Paul knew in 2 Timothy 4:17 where Paul testified though all others had abandoned him, “But the Lord stood by me and strengthened me, so that through me the message would be fully proclaimed for all the Gentiles to hear. And so I was delivered from the lion’s mouth!.”
  4. His working all things together for GOOD” can be seen NOT BECAUSE HE DELIVERS us FROM Troubles but SUSTAINS US IN them with Sufficient empowering Grace to depend upon Him, Honor Him and Glory, Boast in Him in those circumstances, as Paul did. For the same Provision of the Spirit of God and the grace to empower he had God imparts to each of His own without respect for the person. He supplies all of your needs for all that you will need, be it to Deliver from the trials or Sustain you IN The trial to honor Him in them as His strength is made perfect in our weakness- “Three times I pleaded with the Lord to take it away from me. But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.”-{2 Cor 12:8-10}
  5. His working all things together for GOOD” can be seen when we go through afflictions and sufferings and God brings “good ” out of it by weaning us off delf reliance to dependency upon God Again Paul testified, “In fact, we expected to die. But as a result, we stopped relying on ourselves and learned to rely only on God, who raises the dead.”-{2 Cor 1:9}.
  6. His working all things together for GOOD” can be seen at times like when Paul and his companions were in deep despair, depressed, and discouraged and God sent Titus to comfort them and express His goodness to them in working even the dark places as unable to keep Him from reaching His people, “For even when we came into Macedonia our flesh had no rest, but we were afflicted on every side: conflicts on the outside, fears inside. But God, who comforts the discouraged, comforted us by the arrival of Titus;”-{2 Cor 7:6}.
  7. His working all things together for GOOD” can be seen in Joseph’s life who was sold into slavery, and yet his proclamation to the brothers who did such wicked deed and caused great suffering in his life and from Potiphar’s wife’s false accusation, ” You intended to harm me, but God intended it all for good. He brought me to this position so I could save the lives of many people.”-{Genesis 50:20 nlt}
  8. His working all things together for GOOD” can be seen in David’s life when hiding in a cave falsely believing God had abandoned and forgotten him,{Psalm 13:1-2}. To turning in prayer to Him and the LORD reminding him of how He had been good to him to such an extent David went from believing the lie that God had abandoned him so severely during the trials to Singing His Praise. And what was his Theme? God’s Goodness. “I will sing the Lord’s praise, for He has been GOOD to me.” The goodness of God his theme! God gave him a song amidst his sorrows! His circumstances had not changed but his focus had!
  9. His working all things together for GOOD can be seen in those in Hebrews 11 who lost their lives, circumstances may differ some experience Him working out “good” in this life others as will all followers of Christ experience the ultimate reality of His good will, purpose coming to fruition in glory when we are with Him forever and conformed to the image of Christ ultimately.-{Read Romans 8:28-29}
  10. His working all things  together for good can be seen even in the death of a believer whom it says, “Precious in the sight of the Lord Is the death of His godly ones.”-{Psalm 116:16- The word “precious” can be translated as “excellent” and from God’s perspective the death of one of His own is an excellent thing because He gives the Son, our LORD Jesus the DESIRE of His heart, “Father, I DESIRE that they also, whom You have given Me, be with Me where I am, so that they may see My glory which You have given Me, for You loved Me before the foundation of the world.”-{John 17:24} Ans His DELIGHT, “Now to Him who is able to protect you from stumbling, and to make you stand in the presence of His glory, blameless with GREAT JOY!”-{Jude 24}j.! Death cannot halt His purpose from being done! Death is but a “taxi” into His presence where He desires and delights in us being with Him whom He loves!

No matter what you are going through, as difficult, dark, sorrowful, distressing, and upsetting as it can be at times you ARE  NOT ALONE WITHOUT GOD AND HIS PROVISION OF HIS HOLY SPIRIT TO EMPOWER YOU AND HIS PROMISES OF HOPE SUCH AS FOUND IN ROMAND 8:28-29 TO ASSURE YOU HE IS WORKING AND IT WILL ALL TURN OUT FOR GOOD. You may not know How, but He does!

God does not promise “Somethings” but “ALL THINGS” He is working for your Good, and ultimately His glory !

You have a future hope, a glorious future awaiting you when God who works all things together for good will get you Home safely to be with Him. “Goodness and mercy” behind you -{Psalm 23:6} the promise of Goodness awaiting you-{Romans 8:29} and the Good Shepherd leading you presently with a promise that he causes “all things to work together for good to those who love Him and are the called,” and that my dear friend “In Christ” is for you!
And in the meantime, God is working “Good” as He uses “all things” the good, the bad, the ugly” to conform us to Christlikeness… as we head to the Father’s House to be with Him ultimately!-(Read Roman’s 8:29)

What He PROMISES He delivers on every time ALL the time!

When God says something He means it and when He says “ALL THINGS” you can be sure He means “ALL THINGS!”

So often we wrongly think the “good,” is what we want when it ultimately is to conform us to the image of Christ in our thinking, doing our character!

I know it can be hard at times because it is, ”But God…”

  • Can’t lie,
  • Won’t lie to us.
  • He gave His Son for us …
  • Fulfills ALL His promises. – Has never broken one and will not begin now with you!
  • He will work “ALL THINGS together for GOOD to those who love God and are the called…”-( Romans 8:28-29)
  • Power and Promises provided For Godly Living. –  In the meantime has Provided all that we need to Respond in a God-honoring way through His Power and Promises for us -{Read 2 Peter 1;3-4}

But we must Be On Guard and…

  1. RECOGNIZE the Lie
  2. REJECT the lies that come to mind or through the mouths of others to us that “nothing good” can come out of it … but we reject the lies and
  3. REPLACE them with the TRUTH and fall back on Roman’s 8:28 “ALL THINGS” means “ALL THINGS” and there is nothing outside of ALL things can He not and will He not work together for good.
  4. REPLAY – And when the doubts and lies would come back to mind take out this precious promise from the ALL POWERFUL God and REPLAY it by speaking it again and again to yourself and the Holy Spirit will TESTIFY THE TRUTH AND THE TRUTH WILL NOT ONLY FREE YOU UP FROM THE LIES BUT STRENGTHEN, MATURE YOUR FAITH IN THE  FAITHFUL ONE AND HIS PROMISES!

His EXCLUSIVE Promise for ONLY those who are His who are characterized by “…Love For God, the Called…”. And that’s for you who are HIS! ”And that’s for you because by His doing you are “In Christ!” – {Read Romans 8:1; 1 Cor 1:30}

In the darkened times we Confidently look through by faith because we “KNOW” He who is true to fulfill His Promise…

“And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose. For those whom He foreknew, He also predestined to become conformed to the image of His Son, so that He would be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters;”-{Romans 8:28-29}

There is NOTHING outside of  God’s “ALL things” That He cannot and will not cooperate to work out for “good” in conforming us to the image of Christ and fulfilling His powerful promise to us. His Children!

God bless,

Aidan,
