Five hour infusion today,
Reading, studying the book of Jude and the call for all believers to “contend for the faith”continuously and the warning of how to recognise the characteristics of false teachers who had crept in among the believers but who in reality oppose the truth and the LORD Jesus.
But he begins with a beautiful description of the followers of Christ as those who have been “Called by God. Beloved by God, Kept by God. For Jesus Christ“(eternally safe and secure). We are God’s possession preserved by Him FOR His Son! We are the Father’s gift to the Son! Not based on any merit of our own but solely on His grace and mercy to us through the finished work of Christ on that cross …Humbling, amazing!
How wonderful are these descriptions … to those Jude wrote to and to all believers including… YOU! You are who God says you are ! Put your name in here “ ____Called by God,
_____ Beloved of God.
_____ Kept by God FOR Jesus Christ.”
And then he ends with a desire for them, as my prayer for you that “Mercy, peace and love be multiplied to you .”
My being hooked up to an iv has been a wonderful opportunity to be hooked up to His Word for these precious hours!
