EAR & EMPATHY!
With the New Year approaching… here is hopefully a …THOUGHT TO ENCOURAGE;
With such uncertainty that has surrounded us in these times we can look forward with blessed assurance of two of the innumerable blessings we have “In Christ,” ahead in the year to come, namely…
Ear and Empathy;
Two things “In Christ,” you always have …
1.- You have the EAR of God-
A.- “ in my desperation I prayed and the LORD LISTENED…”; (Psalm 34:6);
B.-“… and His EARS are attentive to their prayer,”- (1 Peter 3:12.)
C.- “In my distress I called upon the LORD; to my God I cried for help. From his templeHe heard my voice, and my cry to Him reached His EARS .”-(Psalm 18:6)
2.- You have the EMPATHY of God –
“For we do not have a high priestwho is unable to EMPATHISE with our weaknesses, but we have One who has been tempted in every way, just as we are—yet He did not sin. Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.”- ( Heb 4:15-16)
WHAT DO YOU HAVE THIS MOMENT, THIS DAY AND EVERY DAY?
You have the EAR of God… He gives you His undivided attention. He is not trying to juggle what you are saying and millions of others and only hearing parts of your prayer. You have His undivided loving attention! And you always have the EMPATHY of God who feels the very feelings you feel, and you don’t have to try and explain to Him. He understands. And as the word empathy describes He feels the very feelings you feel.
Two blessings today to meditate upon and praise Him for and to share with others…
You have the EAR of God… and the EMPATHY of God!
