Tenaciously “stand firm in the Lord.” In the TRUTH about who He is and who you are “in Christ,” The privileges, power, spiritual position, and on the promises of God! STAND FIRM IN THE TRUTH! To “stand firm,” means to -Continue to persevere and remain firm in their faith In The LORD! He is their source of Power and Provision! He is Resurrected LORD, Reigning, Coming again for His people! The believer is to be deriving all from Him. Power, Purpose and intimacy with identification in Him who is our life – Col 3:4! “Stand Firm,” is a command and continuous! Spiritual ability and stability is found “In The Lord.” It is a military word that speaks of holding your position in battle. The term speaks of “spiritual stability.” The lie of the evil one is to seek to attack your mind, to affect you emotionally, to seduce you to act independent and contrary to the Lord and His Word! “Stand firm,” is the response! “Stand firm” is the main verb in verses 1-9. {He lists how to from v 2-9}
