GOD’S GLORIOUS ALTERNATIVE.

“ …with those who call on the Lord from a pure heart.”- {2 Timothy 2:22}. Look to Him for some Godly friends and together you can mutually encourage one another in the things of God. FAITH IN HIM is how to deal with the temptation to yield to despair. Remember when thoughts come to seek to turn you inward, or aside from doing God’s Word remember you DO NOT HAVE TO YIELD to the temptation to disobey God. Temptation is not sin. Choosing to yield is ! You have the power, the promises and from PSALM 27:13-HIS PERSPECTIVE in what to do. You have GOD’S GLORIOUS ALTERNATIVE!

WE TRUST GOD. This also includes PRAYING TO HIM -“PRAY lest you lose heart {faint}” – {Luke 18:1}. Believing Prayer! Trust and Pray! Praying in TALKING to Him respectfully and trustingly! Faith Pleases God. Faith Glorifies God. Faith is also exercised in believing prayer! You have the power, the promises to “..BELIEVE TO SEE THE GOODNESS OF THE LORD IN THE LAND OF THE LIVING.”

When you CHOOSE to Believe God, He is pleased and Glorified- through YOU! This should be great incentive for you to believe Him who is believable and trustworthy!

FOCUS your thoughts on Him and entrust yourself, your cares, problems onto Him, who is for you, who loves you! You will trust the One who loves you. God demonstrated His love in that while you were yet a sinner Christ died for YOU {Romans 5:8-9}. His cross demonstrates He an be trusted!

THINK ON GOD AND HIS GOODNESS;

CAST ALL OF YOUR CARES UPON HIM FOR he cares for you! “Oh GIVE THANKS to the LORD for HE IS GOOD!”

“But as for me the Nearness of GOD is MY GOODNESS.I have made the LORD GOD my REFUGE, That I may TELL of All YOUR works”- Psalm 73:28.

Hope in God and give thanks you have GOD’S GLORIOUS ALTERNATIVE to despair….the GOODNESS of the LORD. Meditate upon Him. His character and His goodness….strengthen your faith by choosing to THINK-THINK-THINK on His character and how He has been good to you. Look up some verses that mentioned the goodness of the Lord in Scripture and meditate that He is the same yesterday today and forever.

The choice to “despair” or
The Choice to Believe…both take faith!

Choose GOD’S GLORIOUS ALTERNATIVE FOR YOU in the midst of the temptation to despair…. by choosing to THINK RIGHT ABOUT THE LORD AND TRUST HIM- THE LORD IS GOOD!

YOUR NEW TESTIMONY;

The circumstances you face are not the final authority. God is! There is GOD’S GLORIOUS ALTERNATIVE for you this moment. Choose to trust Him! Choose to fill your mind with His Word concerning His goodness and the Holy Spirit will feed your faith and strengthen you, that you too can say,”Surely I would have despaired UNLESS I BELIEVED to SEE the GOODNESS of the LORD in the land of the living!”

APPLICATION;

1- WRITE OUT PSALM  27:13 On a 3 by 5 card and carry with you and when you have opportunity begin to read word for word, phrase by phrase and mediate upon the verse and concentrate on the word, “Unless” as the transmission that God’s Glorious Alternative IS for you.

2. PRAY that God would remind you of this verse, that you may apply during times of temptation to despair. PRAY this verse for others to be strengthened in their faith concerning God’s character.

 3. SHARE this verse with someone else and be able to explain to them, GOD’S GLORIOUS ALTERNATIVE, that they may bee encouraged and strengthened in their faith in the GOODNESS of God
