“For it is God who is at work IN you, both to will {desire} and the Power FOR His good pleasure.”- {Phil 2:13}.
God Himself INITIATES and is INTIMATELY Involved in your sanctification, giving you the desire and POWER… and why? “FOR…” gives you the answer. He does “FOR… HIS… GOOD PLEASURE!”
“Good Pleasure,” means “Enjoyment, Satisfaction!” God works IN you, giving you the Desire and Power to do His will and this He does “FOR” His enjoyment. He Enjoys working in you, He finds enjoyment, GREAT PLEASURE, and satisfaction working IN you and Through you. God finds enjoyment…in you!!
“He brought me out into a spacious place; He rescued me because He DELIGHTED in me.”-{Psalm 18:19}. Who “delighted?” God did! The psalmist had done nothing to deserve such affection and favor, such is the kindness and unmerited favor of God! He imparts what we do not deserve- Grace. kindness, eternal favor! “For the LORD takes pleasure {Delights} in His people; He will beautify the afflicted ones with salvation.”-{Psalm 149:4}. “The LORD delights in those who fear Him, who put their hope in His unfailing love.”-{Psalm 147:11}. “The LORD your God is with you, the Mighty Warrior who saves. He will take great delight in you; in His love He will no longer rebuke you,but will rejoice over you with singing.” -{Zephaniah 3:17}.
God is at work, you are His “canvas”…”His Masterpiece…”- {Eph 2:10}…
God Himself finds enjoyment, delight, satisfaction being intimately involved in your life. You are not discarded, insignificant or “second class” but have His undivided attention and love towards you. {1 Peter 3:12}. God IS Working…
“For I am confident of this very thing, that He who began a good work IN you will perfect it until the day of Christ Jesus.”-{Phil 1:6}. What He begins, He finishes, and finds pleasure, enjoyment and satisfaction in doing so!
