Wonderful JESUS

Isaiah 9:6 – “For a child will be born to us, a son will be given to us; And the government will rest on His shoulders; And His name will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace.”

I have been down for several weeks, mostly with pain in my calves, hamstrings and burning pain in my shins and lower back. Accompanying the pain is fatigue. I walk from the bedroom to the living room and sit a while, and I become more tired and need to go back and lie down. Mentally I am exhausted, and sleeping but a few hours a night as the side effects of the pain pills cause me to stay awake until the early hours of the morning. The inflammation in my muscles needs to go down…my CPK levels if I am to have any rest…it is hard to believe it is Christmas time…but it is His time, time to remember Him.

I began to read to our children recently concerning the Lord Jesus who is Wonderful. Afterwards I took a Bible concordance and looked up the word “Wonderful” to see how it related to the LORD. I looked at those things which are wonderful about Him…I hope these will encourage you as they have lifted my heart – such is the healing balm of His Word…
