“The LORD is trustworthy in ALL He promises and faithful in ALL He does.”- Psalm 145:13

Who can you trust in this day and age or any day of any age? Whose word can you count on?

 Who is it whose word or promise is never broken? True, in times past we have heard “his word is as good as his bond” in a way to express the integrity of someone, but life throws up different scenarios where someone cannot deliver on their promise, do not have the ability to do so, or choose not to. So where can you turn to? Whom can you turn to? The verse here shows us “The LORD” and that He can be counted upon. There is Hope when you fail. There is Hope when you are overwhelmed with life. This Hope is found in a Person. The LORD who is King { Psalm 145:1-}

  Note the EMPHASIS, of “ALL” and references to “The LORD…HE…HIS” in this verse. He is the Theme! HIS Word our FOUNDATION!

As the words of the old hymn so wonderfully put the attitude and action of faith in a faithful God.

“Standing on the promises of Christ my King,
through eternal ages let his praises ring;
glory in the highest, I will shout and sing,
standing on the promises of God.
Refrain:
Standing, standing,
standing on the promises of Christ my Savior;
standing, standing,
I’m standing on the promises of God.Standing on the promises that cannot fail,
when the howling storms of doubt and fear assail,
by the living Word of God I shall prevail,
standing on the promises of God.”

 What blessed Assurance- God’s Promises and Faithfulness!

 “CHILL..”

No one else but the LORD- whose name speaks of His character, and His memorial name, by which He is known by to generations can this be attributed to.{Exodus 3:13-16} He is faithful not to a few, or many, but “ALL” of His Promises! What confidence, expectation, assurance this is meant to produce in us as we look to Him to fulfill His promises and rest in Him, He has and will fulfill His Word. “Cease striving and know that I Am God” Or as one of my boys eloquently put it, “Chill. I’ve got this.” Some of us need to “Seriously chill…” Anxiety, stress only reveal a heart that refuses to trust Him! Been there got the t-shirts!

 The LORD has Promise’s to Encourage You- For You to Extend to others , that He may Be Exalted. Consider theses…

 1. – YOU HAVE FALLEN?

 Shame. Sin. Regret. Mistakes. The”fiery darts” to the conscience that there is no way God could love you in light of what you have thought or acted upon,” How could you?” and endless thoughts at various times bring your sin, shame before you till you begin to sink into despair. Does God have a promise of Hope for you? Indeed He is your promise. He is sufficient for you. His blood cleanses from “All” unrighteousness” He does not step away and abandon you, for His love is committed to you. It does not mean there are not consequences. But there is “now no condemnation for those who are In Christ Jesus.”{See Romans 8:1} For the LORD “sustains- upholds all who fall.”

His commitment to you is eternal. His commitment cannot be shaken for love never decays or fails. His is an everlasting love for you. He sustains, keeps, upholds not a “few choice favorites” for all are His favorites and that “all”  includes you and those whom you minister to and SHARE this word of hope with. -Psalm 145:14.

2. – YOU ARE BOWED DOWN?

Bowed down by the cares of life. Stressed, just everything seems too much at times. Some of it can be self -inflicted, we pursue goals which may not be His according to His Word. Other times they are His goals but we find ourselves bowed down under the cares of life. Is there any hope? Psalm 145:14 ASSURES the fallen and bowed down that there is.It Is found only, exclusively in the LORD. He is the God of Hope {1 Peter 5:10} and He lifts up continuously all who are bowed down. The word ”all” includes you. How precious and magnificent are His promises {2 Peter 1:3-4}

 3.YOU NEED PEACE?

He has Promised Peace…a calm heart and mind, independent of the “storms ” of life around us… “Peace I leave with you; My peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.”- John 14:27

A. – Peace with God for salvation-Rom 5:1 and the…
B. – Peace of God for the believer amidst anxious times when we choose to do things His way.Phil 4:4-7. His Peace He Gifts to us… so come to Him and ask and rest in Him. It is His delight to put Himself on display to and through you

 4. – YOU NEED PROVISION TO GLORIFY Him?

He has Promised and has delivered on His promise for generations and will not fail His Name now by beginning with you – “And my God shall supply all of your needs according to His glorious riches in Christ.”- Phil 19 and ..5. – YOU NEED PROVISION TO HELP OTHERS?

He is faithful to give you the resources to contribute and one reason you have job you have is to have the resources, heart and opportunity to help those in “need”, God affords us the opportunity to be a giver or a receiver all to His Glory. You can be a Participant with Him.

A. – “Yes, you will be enriched in every way so that you can always be generous. And when we take your gifts to those who need them, they will thank God.”- 2 Cor 9:11

B. -“…Anyone who has been stealing must steal no longer, but must work, doing something useful with their own hands, that they may HAVE something to SHARE with those in NEED.”- Eph 4:28″ All the promises of God are “yes and Yes” in Christ Jesus. We often do not have because we do not ask, or we ask with wrong Motives.There is terrific news for you today from Psalm 145:13“THE LORD”- the Self-Existent {Exodus 3:15-16 }, Covenant Keeping,{Deut 7:9 } Unchanging {Malachi 3:6 }, Sovereign {Isaiah 45 }, Provider {Gen 22} this One…”IS“- present tense…”TRUSTWORTHY”- He is RELIABLE, He has the ability, the power, in His time, in His way, for His Honor to fulfill His promises {psalm 135:6 } …”IN ALL HE PROMISES”- No Promise too hard, too difficult for Him to fulfill .{Jer 32:17 }… He Makes a promise and he Keeps His Promises and fulfills them in His time. Whatever about the reputation of others His has been put to the test, He cannot lie, He cannot fail, He is faithful to His Name. It is His reputation and character that is the testimony to the absurdness of the Promise being fulfilled! “AND FAITHFUL IN ALL HE DOES.” He does not do things half – heartedly, but always keeps His Word, fulfills His Word and is reliable, dependent, consistent, unchanging, executing lovingly and always right, such is the acts and character of the “LORD” who is “KING” v 1

 5. – FOR A NON – BELIEVER-

The LORD owns time and has allotted you a certain amount. “For it is APPOINTED for man ONCE TO DIE and afterwards THE JUDGEMENT…PREPARE TO MEET YOUR GOD.” But for now you are experiencing His mercy to allow time for you to turn from sin, self- love and to Him in submission and trust in His Son…”The Lord is not slow in keeping His promise, as some understand slowness. Instead He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.”- He is kind to you, taking no delight in the perishing of those who reject Him and Son, Jesus Christ. There is Hope for you and a promise of Hope, of eternal rest in a right relationship with God through Jesus Christ,”…All that the Father gives Me will come to me, and whoever comes to me I will never drive away.”-John 6:37

 6 . – THE PROVISION OF FORGIVENESS;

“O LORD if you kept a record of our sins, who, O Lord, could ever survive? But YOU offer forgiveness, that we might learn to reverence You.”- psalm 130:3.” As far as the east is from the west, so far has He removed our transgressions from us.”-Psalm 103:12.”If we Confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from ALL unrighteousness.”- 1 John 1:9;””Therefore HE IS ABLE to SAVE forever those who draw near to Him, since He always lives to make intercession for the,”-Hebrews 9:25

  7. – THE PROVISION OF HIMSELF –

“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”- Matthew 11:28-30

 8. – The PROVISION OF THE PROMISES OF GOD –

are found in a PERSON – The LORD Jesus Christ….. the worlds system, their ways can “offer” counterfeits to peace, forgiveness but cannot fulfill, “But God…” who promises is Faithful…”For no matter how many promises God has made, they are “Yes” in Christ. And so through him the “Amen” is spoken by us to the glory of God.”- 2 Cor 1:20The Greatest Treasure of all – HIMSELF;
“God is FAITHFUL who has called you into fellowship with His Son -Jesus Christ our Lord”- 1 COR 1:9

 The beginning and end of Psalm 145 is to PRAISE THE KING…and here are two reasons to incorporate into your praising Him…
