Love, love love this verse. I call it “David’s Obituary.”
“For David, after he had served the purpose of God in his own generation, fell asleep,and was laid among his fathers and underwent decay.” -{Acts 13:36}.
How wonderful each of us in the generation God has placed us in can serve HIS PURPOSES… isn’t it wonderful… He has written down the overall picture of what David did, not his sins, but his SERVICE for the LORD in his generation…what wonderful Grace! He faced difficulties, obstacles, death threats dangers on every side, betrayal, personal moral failures, “But God…” in summing up his life does so with such grace and mercy and affirmation,“…he had served the purpose of God in his own generation…”
And as he did, so can you, because we have the same God empowering us to do so! Be encouraged you can do all things through Christ who infuses you with strength
What a wonderful “obituary!” Keep SERVING His Purposes…today…this is OUR Generation to do so. One day we will all fall asleep, die… and wake up and SEE Him AND DWELL in His presence Forever!
Your Life Does have meaning, Purpose, and it is to SERVE His purposes in this your generation!
Look for ways to SERVE Him today… Pray… Love those around you if there is someone… Reach out and contact someone, show some Care for Others…Write a Note to someone.., BE PRODUCTIVE, BE PURPOSEFUL..SERVE the purposes of God.

What an “Obituary” David has…. Imagine if God could write that about us… and by His Grace He can…
