Colossians 3:12-14
“Jesus Christ is not sufficient.” “Your salvation is deficient.” Such were the false teaching with which the Colossian believers were being bombarded. Paul combats the false teaching with the truth that they are selected by God, set apart by God, and the fact that He has set His love upon them.
In light of so great salvation, Paul proceeds to tell the believers to put on “The Garments of Grace” in order to display the sufficiency of Christ.
