Wednesday Morning another 4 plus hour IV… the third one this week. Someone asked how long will I have to do them? The rest of my life. Sometimes I get tired, just the thought of getting it ready.. but I am thankful… thankful that The LORD has comforted me and the companionship of His Word these years has been a saving grace, a savior. To be able to meditate upon His Word amidst the trauma, has been an anchor in the storms, and turbulence. I have been in Psalm 147 for days and some nights recently and have ended up writing 20 devotionals for I hope a new website… that when i am long gone, if it so pleases the LORD He can use to encourage someone to look to Him, lift up His Name and find comfort in their storms. Our present website has just passed 1.6 million hits. And it started with a prayer, ‘”Lord if it please You, Please use to encourage someone.”

Trials are promised to us in this life.

Yes, you read right, Trials are promised to us in this life. Read these verses James 1:2-4; Romans 5:3-4. 2 Cor 1:4; 1 Peter 5;10; Phil 1:29; John 16:33, 1 Peter 4:12-19… Trials are to be expected according to the Scriptures, and yet how often are we surprised and object as though we should be immune, excused by God from them, at least any ones we think we can’t handle? We are surprised at trials. When the trials comes, the question is not so much “Why?,” but….”How?” “How does His Word say I am to respond?” And that is where you are to ask Him to shift your heart focus from “Why?” to ” How?”

I love this verse, Paul’s words, his longing, desire, that “…Christ will even now, as always, be exalted in my body, whether by life or by death.”-{Phil 1:20}. What a great motto for living and dying,… that in my body Christ be exalted whether by life or in death, Christ magnified! Whatever the trial, “Christ magnified,” the cry of the heart, and if or when the trial is so much even a whisper, a sigh, through tears, ‘”Christ magnified” the focus. It takes a great work of Grace to make this a reality, when the magnifying of Christ is the goal of the heart… But then again He is in the miracle business!

Trials are promised… His grace is sufficient… His Word the great stabilizer, strengthener, comforter and companion by His Spirit…

His Word, the ability to just meditate and give thanks have been two great , great gifts from Him to me these hard years….”This is my comfort in my affliction,Your Word refreshes my heart.” – {Psalm 150:19}

God bless and have a great day…
