“He will call upon Me, and I will answer him; I WILL BE WITH HIM IN TIME OF TROUBLE; I will rescue him and honor him.”- (Psalm 91:15.)
Note, “ In Time Of Trouble…” the “I WILL’S ” in the verse;
GOD’S ASSURANCE;
“ I WILL answer him…”
” I WILL be with him…”
” I WILL rescue and honor him…” Note what God says of the Psalmist, “he WILL call upon Me,…”
“In Times Of Trouble,”
1.-GOD ANSWERS; God answers prayers – ” I WILL answer him.” Note it is an opportunity to turn to Him, to talk to Him ….but you got to call upon Him!
2.-GOD’S ASSURANCE; God has not abandoned you but assures you “I WILL BE…” No hesitation, reservation but Divine commitment! He is with you “in trouble!”
3.-GOD’S PROMISE; “I WILL rescue you and honor you!”
Put in a place you can see it . Write on a 3 by 5 card, perhaps Place it on your bathroom mirror, or somewhere you can read for a week to become familiar with it. Ponder this truth, Praise Him. Pass it on, to encourage someone else that, “In Times if trouble,” He is with them. How tender when all around may scream to us ” where is God?” This verse assures us,
WHERE IS GOD IN TIMES OF TROUBLE? He is with you!
You are not alone. You have not nor never will be abandoned or forsaken, or deserted -(Heb 13:5.) He is with you!!!
Maybe You don’t “feel” like He is ? Does how you “feel” have authority over Him and what He says? If so, then He would not be God and could not be trusted. “We walk by faith and not by sight. “- ( 2 Cor 5:7)
It’s not how I “feel” but what His Word reveals about Him is the foundation to live amidst troubles, otherwise we will be tossed to and fro like a piece of drift wood crashing beneath the hurling ocean waves and spewed back to the surface only for the whole destabilizing scenario of living by feelings as the ultimate authority to happen again and again is emotional and anxiety filled living. It is to live by sight and not by faith in God who is faithful in times of trouble. Nauseating. Double minded. Stressed. Uncertain living. Unbelief. When we refuse to take Him at His Word!
WHERE IS GOD IN TIMES OF TROUBLE?
God is present with you in all His greatness, as He was with Moses at the Red Sea , Daniel in the den, the three Hebrew youths in the fire, Stephen when he was being stoned, and countless others, so He is with you in your times of trouble! So we rest in His sovereignty, rejoice in His sufficiency, rest in His love, submit to His authority and wisdom knowing our soul is ” kept/guarded by the power of God.”-( 1 Peter 1;5). Jesus has overcome! He is conquering LORD. We are not alone !
It is unavoidable, that for you, and me, in this world, we will have times of trouble. But we are never in them, or face them alone or uncared for! The Lord is present with us! His grace sufficient, His truth unchanging, to comfort, strengthen, assure us! His Spirit to illumine His Word to us and empower us! ” …precious and magnificent promises” to appropriate. We have been given everything pertaining to life and Godliness through the knowledge of Him-( 2 Peter 1:3-4). Christ is our sufficiency for this moment !
Where is God in times of trouble ? Where does His Unchanging, eternal Word say He is ?
“I will be with him in time of trouble.”
When in doubt listen to The Lord in the Scriptures
That Settles it!
