No U-Haul’s

Possess your possessions don’t allow them to possess you!
Never seen a U-Haul behind a hearse – No U Haul’s Needed! Yet we tend to forget and seek to pursue possessions as a means to security,when in reality when death comes and God requires the soul, there is nothing that you take with you but yourself! There is no u-haul to bring with you! It is you you and God! This came home to me when a friend called and a couple he knew died and were Billionaires, the husband died first and shortly after the wife died in their nineties or so and when I heard the story my initial thought regarding the man was “There are No U- Haul’s ” coming behind him. How stark the moment, it is all left behind and he stepped into eternity and no coming back, no second chances, no buying your way out of trouble if need so, nothing. Final. Eternity, Heaven or Hell the final destination. Sobering thought.
“The person who sins is the one who will die. The child will not be punished for the parent’s sins, and the parent will not be punished for the child’s sins,”-{Ezekiel 18:20- NLT} The verse teaches each person is responsible for their own sin! Their own guilt, not that of another!..”it is appointed for man to die once and afterwards comes Judgement” -{Heb 9:27}. “For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”-{Romans 6:23}… Sin pays wages… eternal condemnation and separation from God.“But God…” Through the work of His Son on the cross. He who knew no sin became sin that we may come into right standing with God. He bore the penalty for our sin on the cross and all who turn to God and submit To Jesus Christ as LORD to rule over them and Savior to rescue, deliver them from sin will receive the gift of eternal life… “But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe in His name,”-{John 1:12} “He was handed over to die because of our sins, and he was raised to life to make us right with God.”-{Romans 4:25 NLT}, “If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by confessing with your mouth that you are saved.”-{Romans 10:9-10 NLT}
ETERNITY is where we all are heading for a meeting with Jesus Christ- all are heading towards that, “Therefore, God elevated Him to the place of highest honor and gave Him the name above all other names, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue declare that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.”-{Phil 2;9-11 NLT} There will be NO U-HAUL’S needed or coming behind when we see and meet Him! “…PREPARE TO MEET YOUR GOD…”-{Amos 4:12}
For some it will be Terrifying when He says “Many will say to Me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name drive out demons and perform many miracles?’ Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I NEVER KNEW YOU; DEPART FROM ME, YOU WORKERS OF LAWLESSNESS.” – { Matt 7:23} “It is a terrifying thing to fall into the hands of the living God.“-{Heb 10:31}
For others who received Him and submitted to Him it will be a delight to “…enter into the Joy of your Master.”-{Matt 25:23} For The father Grants the Son the DESIRE of His heart, “Father, I desire that they also, whom You have given Me, be with Me where I am, so that they may see My glory which You have given Me,…”-{John 17:24}
While many pursue after “riches” on this earth they fail to realize the true “Riches” available to them – THE RICHES OF GOD’S MERCY…
“We all lived among them at one time in the cravings of our flesh, indulging its desires and thoughts. Like the rest, we were by nature children of wrath. But because of His great love for us, who is RICH IN MERCY, made us alive with Christ, even when we were dead in our trespasses, it is by grace you have been saved...”-{Eph 2:3-5}
“Remember what it says: “Today when you hear His voice, don’t harden your hearts as Israel did when they rebelled. “-{Hebrews 3:15}. We hear His voice in his Word and He says “It was also written that this message would be proclaimed in the authority of his name to all the nations, beginning in Jerusalem: ‘There is forgiveness of sins for all who repent.’ “-{Luke 24:27 NLT}
Where will You spend eternity?
What are you spending your time, energy and heart pursuing on this earth?
“Wherever your treasure is, there the desires of your heart will also be.”- {Matt 6:21 NLT}
COME to Christ, if you have not. Now is the day of salvation, deliverance for you from the guilt, power and penalty of sin. There is MERCY for your sin through the PERSON of Jesus Christ…”But if we confess our sins to Him, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all wickedness.”-{1 John 1:9 } To “confess” means to agree with… to say as God says about your sin… it is sin… but to turn to Him, agree with Him about it, take personal responsibility for your sin. Own it…as yours… and when you repent…turn from self rule to God and submit to Him and trust his SON’S WORK ON YOUR BEHALF, YOU NO LONGER PAY THE PENALTY OF SIN, JESUS HAS PAID IT FOR YOU. And His right standing with God is now the standing you have because of Him as you give Him your sin, self to Him.
NO U- HAULS NEEDED!
