“ The LORD does whatever pleases Him in heaven and on earth, in the seas and all its deep regions.”- ( Psalm 135:6)

What a verse !! What A LORD! Meditate, memorize. Rest in His Truth. Praise Him…continually this week. “The LORD does whatever Pleases Him in…” whatever realm – none can stop, hinder Him. For “The LORD does whatever Pleases Him…” think on Him. Let your mind dwell on that:).

The word “LORD,” is a magnificent word, when traced in the Old Testament in various verses we see the ways it is used to reveal something of Himself to us…

He is LORD,…
* GOD – CREATOR…- {Gen 2:4};
* PROVIDER – {Gen 22:14}
* SELF- EXISTENT- {Exodus 3:15};
* COVENANT-KEEPING, PROMISE KEEPER- {Deut 7:9};
* UNCHANGING ONE”- {Malachi 3:6};
* SOVEREIGN ONE-{Isaiah 46:8-11}

It is This ONE, “The LORD,…” that we are told does as He Pleases!! This is whom we PRAY to!!! Have you ever considered Him in this light?

Psalm 135:6 … is one of my go to verses for prayer “…if it pleases You, LORD… would You do…” If it happens then it is because it Pleased Him. If not then because it was not what would be pleasurable to Him. When my kids were young I tried to teach them this principle to pray. Ultimately the goal being, “What would be PLEASING to Him…?”

Because we know “ WHATEVER PLEASES THE LORD… HE…DOES…!”

I Love, love, love, this verse. He is Sovereign. The last five letters of Sovereign are R-E-I-G-N! He rules. No one Else. No person. No Demon. No Devil. No Government. No Preacher. No Person. No Nations,..

“Who has directed the Spirit of the LORD, or informed Him as His counselor? Whom did He consult to enlighten Him, and who taught Him the paths of justice? Who imparted knowledge to Him and showed Him the way of understanding? Surely the nations are like a drop in a bucket; they are considered a speck of dust on the scales; He lifts up the islands like fine dust.…”-{Isaiah 40:14-15}

HE REIGNS!!!

Jesus put it this way after His resurrection … “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth.”-{Matt 28:18}.

To the suffering believers in Hebrews 1 , He reminded them,”… and upholding all things by the word of His power.”-( Heb 1:3). Moon, sun,stars galaxies, earth,…, He upholds all. Sustains all, Effortlessly. How ? By the Power of His Word! All in their perfect place… no danger for He who made All continually upholds them all up by the Power of His Word. Sovereign. Means. King. Reigns. God acting as God!!!

The Psalmist celebrates The LORD {Yahweh} and His UNLIMITED POWER that extends to the heavens, Earth, seas, both visible and the depths. His power extends to all HIS CREATION!! Not an atom or molecule is outside His reign.

To Him “who does whatever Pleases Him…” is worthy of Consideration, Admiration, Exaltation, WORSHIP, Praise. Blessing. Obedience. Consider Him, bow in your heart before Him, worship Him !!!

READ these verse slowly and thoughtfully… and personalize and pray back to Him. For example “I know that YOU LORD are great, that MY LORD is greater than all gods…etc…”

“I know that the LORD is great,
that our LORD is greater than all gods.
The LORD does whatever pleases Him,
in the heavens and on the earth,
in the seas and all their depths.
{Psalm 135:5-6)

  • Meditate upon it
  • Apply in your praying.
  • Praise Him
  • Share it with someone personally or by social media !

Unstoppable LORD! INEXHAUSTIBLE POWER;“Do you not know? Have you not heard? The Everlasting God, the Lord, the Creator of the ends of the earth Does not become weary or tired. “-{Isaiah 40:28}

Sovereign King…speak to yourself and remind yourself often…” The LORD does whatever pleases Him, in the heavens and on the earth, in the seas and all their depths.”  Consider His Unlimited Power, inexhaustible power. He never will run dry,or weaken in power; Consider His Un-restricted access; No place, person, can keep Him out or overcome the exercising of His Power, when HE pleases, where He pleases, how He pleases! He is Sovereign King! –🙂
