When all around us and sometimes within seem to be out of control, we need to look away to Him who sits on His Throne and see that He is always in control. Habakkuk could not believe what God was going to do, but  he knew He was in control nd he determined he would praise Him!-{Read Habakkuk chapters 2 and 3}. Joseph could have concluded God had abandoned Him wand was not in control, as he suffered at the hands of his brothers who sold him into slavery, and then later been cast into prison under a false accusation by Potiphar’s wife, and yet we see  his forgiveness and provision for his  father and those brothers in time of need and his words, ” As for you, you meant evil against me, but God meant it for good, to bring it about that many people should be kept alive, as they are today.”-{Genesis 50:20}. He saw God was in control!
There is HOPE and comfort in the storms of life to Know and remind ourselves and one of those is to realize that God is in control, always in control, eternally so!
 GOD IS IN CONTROL– He reigns as King, Sovereign over all the events , circumstances, people in your trouble – all of these events He is working for good in a believer’s life and for His honor.
  • “The LORD sat as King at the flood; Yes, the LORD sits as KING FOREVER.” {Psalm 29:10}
  • “ The king’s heart is like a stream of water directed by the LORD; He guides it wherever He pleases.”-{Prov 21:1}
  • “Whatever the Lord pleases, He does, In heaven and in earth, in the seas and in all deeps.”-{Psalm 135:6}
  • “And Jesus came up and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth.”-{Matthew 28:18}.
  • “But God knew what would happen, and His prearranged plan was carried out when Jesus was betrayed. With the help of lawless Gentiles, you nailed Him to a cross and killed Him. But God released him from the horrors of death and raised him back to life, for death could not keep him in its grip.” -{Acts 2;23-24}.

God is in control, even when it doesn’t seem like it. For example the cross of His Son, how out of control that situation seemed, “But God..” had planned this just as He  had the Resurrection! God is in control, always in control. For Job, it seemed everything was out of control, the loss of his children property, the physical suffering, but chapter 1 shows us God was in control all along. Paul in 2 Corinthians 12 says he was given a “thorn,” he is not speaking of a sliver of wood under his skin, that was agitating but the word he uses was that ofa peg for a tent, a wooden peg, sharpened at one end and was used to impale or torture someone. He was in severe[pain and yet God answered when he asked three times to remove the thorn told him “My grace is sufficient…” God was imparting Himself to meet him as the way the sentence is written grammatically is “Sufficient for you is the Grace of Me!” and Paul embraced Him and His power is unleashed in or weakness as Paul learned and he gloried in the LORD because of His provision. God was in control. He was given the thorn we read to keep him humble, from spiritually exalting himself because of the great revelations God had given him. When Paul was thrown into prison and an earthquake shook it and the jailer was about to commit suicide as a result  God used Paul to share with him and he and his family were all saved! God was in control over Paul’s arrest, the earthquake, it hitting the prison, the preserving of life and the situation of the jailer and Paul having been saved was now sharing with the jailor and his family the Gospel of our LORD Jesus Christ. God was in control of it all!

God is in control, always in control, working out His will.

Take hope that God is in control and working all things together for good to those who love Him and are the called! As He was with Joseph, Habakkuk, Job, The Cross, Paul, Suicidal Jailor, so He is too in your and my life. We live by faith not  my sight!
