“Do you not know? Have you not heard? The Everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth Does not become weary or tired. His understanding is inscrutable. He gives strength to the weary, And to him who lacks might He increases power.- (Isaiah 40:28-29).

in v 27 they complained about God that He had neglected, ignored what was happening to them, their sufferings, and they attacked His character and doubted Him. They displayed their unbelief with complaining. They lacked confidence in Him and v 28-29 is His reply…He who has been from everlasting and creates, orders and sustains all of Creation, all of it under His Supreme control and power, is able to care for His people and will not abandon them and unlike humans He never grows weary, exhausted or tired! His call is to confident trust in who He is which means to know Him as He is. Everlasting, LORD, Creator, Unwearied, Unsearchable God!

In challenging times the temptation is to complain and make Him out other than who He is, indeed to create a “god” of our own imagination as substitute for who He truly is. In Isaiah 40 His call is to “comfort, comfort My people”{v1} and then deals with their complaint, to consider who He truly is. CONTEMPLATE Him. CELEBRATE Him. Deposit your CONFIDENCE in Him! God COMFORTS the Complainers by Pointing to His Character and giving them reasons why they can trust Him! Confidence in God’s Power, that no situation can thwart!

CONSIDER Him, Celebrate Him and Confidently Trust Him. Praise Him for Who He is. Take truths concerning His character from these verses and THINK on Him, speak to yourself as faith comes by hearing His Word and builds you up, where complaining attacks the character of God and dishonors Him and have you noticed, it is …contagious! Once one person starts it can become an avalanche of complaining. How do you stop it In your own life? Instead focus on Him and Celebrate Him and trust Him with your CONFESSION of FAITH such as…

Also look again at the verses and look what He Imparts, such as strength for those of us who are weary… How gracious and kind He is!
