God is a Teacher. But not just any Teacher, He is the wisest, kindest, compassionate , able to teach where each of His students can understand and He empowers each of His students to apply what He teaches. He is a PERSONAL teacher. He personally one on one teaches. He SPECIALIZES in one on one and His SPECIFIC subject is one which benefits others namely LOVE, of which He Is. -(1 John 4:8.) For God is love and He demonstrated “God demonstrated His LOVE towards us in while we were yet sinners Christ died for us…”

And He instructs us to an end … To know what true sacrificial , unconditional LOVE IS and to live it out in our choices … And as we do we TESTIFY we belong to HIM, He is our teacher, Savior, God,as we reflect Him “BY THIS ALL MEN will KNOW YOU are MY disciples by YOUR LOVE for one another.”-( John 13:34-35)…and the subject He teaches us to excels In” …I show you a more EXCELLENT Way… LOVE…”

” you yourselves are TAUGHT BY GOD, to love one another.” The word He uses for “Love” here is “Philideplphia,” from phílos = beloved, dear, friendly + adelphós = brother. It is the love of affection, it was the love that spoke of a family love.This is the way the word was used in Secular Greek, that would not be used of different families, It is  a love of fondness manifested in deeds of Kindness.

“Here are the 5 uses on philadelphia in the NT…

DIVINELY TAUGHT;
God not only gives us information in His Word…
God not only shows us the example of Love
God empowers us to LOVE by His Spirit
God gives us people to LOVE…

Now we must choice by choice choose to LOVE…

One practical way is “do nothing out of selfishness or vain conceit But with humility of mind regards others as more important than yourself … Do not merely look out for your own Interests only But also the interests of others.” ( Phil 2:3-4)- SEE OTHERS…PREFER OTHERS!!

How do you see God at work teaching you to love ?

Who is God giving you opportunities with to show love?

Ask yourself these questions
1.- “Who is it that God DOES NOT want me to love?”

2.-“Who is it that God is withholding His power from me to love?”…Hmm…

God is at work TEACHING YOU personally to LOVE others!

EXCEL AT LOVE;
“And in fact, you do love all of God’s family throughout Macedonia. Yet we urge you, brothers and sisters, to do so more and more,”- (1 Thess 4:10)…
While many seek to excel at school, career, sports, etc there is one subject that is to be paramount and that is to learn to love … “The greatest of these is LOVE…” More and more”

“Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails. “-(1 Cor13:4-8)

Excel at love.
