THANK GOD, YOU ARE NOT HELPLESS TODAY!
The evil one may seek to inject thoughts tempting you, teasing you, terrorizing you, seeking to taunt you with doubts, fears, unbelief, but you need not accept such lies but instead realize YOUR HELP COMES FROM THE LORD, MAKER OF HEAVEN AND EARTH. {READ Psalm 121:1-2}. YOU need not succumb to fear, for HE is your Antidote to fear, THE LORD IS YOUR HELPER.
The word “Help” comes from two words,”A Cry, Exclamation, to Run.”
What a beautiful word picture, The Psalmist says The LORD Runs to his aid upon hearing his cry for help. -{Read Ps 38:21}.
Times of trouble are OPPORTUNITIES to TURN TO HIM, REMEMBER HIM, WORSHIP HIM and TELL OTHERS OF HIM, as others like the Psalmist did in the verses below!
There was a time you were helpless,… “BUT GOD!…” “When we were utterly helpless, Christ came at just the right time and died for us sinners… BUT GOD demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”-{Romans 5:6,8}. He Himself has been our help providing help for us in our greatest need, the saving of our soul, now how shall He forfeit His love for us in our time of need, having gave Himself to Help us when we were helpless…. CONSIDER HIM, WHO IS YOUR HELPER…. THE LORD, OF GLORY, VICTORIOUS, YOUR KING AND YOUR GOD!
CONSIDER HIM…IN THESE VERSES...
1.- HELP IS PRESENT!
“…My Help comes from the LORD, Maker of Heaven and earth!”-{Psalm 121;1-2}
“…God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.”-{Psalm 46:1}
2.- HELP IS AVAILABLE – FOR THE ASKING!
” For we do not have a high priest who is unable to empathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are—yet he did not sin. Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to HELP us in our time of NEED.”-{Heb 4:15-16},
3. – HELP’S ANTIDOTE TO FEAR – IS IN A PERSON!
“So we say with confidence, “The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid. What can mere mortals do to me?” -{Heb 13:6}.
4. – HELPS’ SOURCE – IS THE LORD!
“Behold, God is my helper; The Lord is the sustainer of my soul.”- {Psalm 54;4}
5. – HELP’S PRAYER;
{OUR NEED FOR HELP- IS AN OPPORTUNITY TO FOCUS, REMEMBER AND WORSHIP …THE LORD!}
“Listen, Lord, to my prayer;
hear my cries for HELP.
I call to You in times of trouble,
because You answer my prayers.
There is no God like You, O Lord,
not one has done what You have done.
All the nations that You have created
will come and bow down to You;
they will praise Your greatness.
You are mighty and do wonderful things;
You alone are God.”-{Psalm 86:6-10}
THANK GOD… THERE IS A “BUT GOD…” FOR YOU IN TIME OF NEED… For whatever you face He Himself is your Helper, there is always a “BUT GOD…” for you!! Whatever the situation is, you can confidently say, “BUT GOD… IS …MY HELPER….IN TIME OF NEED!”
WHAT DO YOU FACE TODAY?
You do not face it alone .. end the sentence, the problem with true perspective and the promise…… “THE LORD IS MY HELP…. A VERY PRESENT HELP IN TIMES OF TROUBLE!”
