“My grace is sufficient for you…”-{2 Corinthians 12:9}

Grace here speaks of His empowering, and note it is present tense “is” and it is His grace that moment by moment is “enough” as the word “sufficient” here speaks of, with the implication it “satisfies!” As oxygen is to the body so is grace to the soul.

His GRACE Supplies ...

Salvation,– “For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God;  not as a result of works, so that no one may boast. “- {Eph 2;8-9.}; …”being justified as a gift by His grace through the redemption which is in Christ Jesus;”-{Rom 3:24}…For if by the transgression of the one, death reigned through the one, much more those who receive the abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ.”-{Rom 5:17}

Standing  in new position before God,- “ through whom also we have obtained our introduction by faith into this grace in which we stand; and we exult in hope of the glory of God. “- {Rom 5:1-2}; For

Service– “And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that always having all sufficiency in everything, you may have an abundance for every good deed; “- {2 Cor 9:8};

Strengthens,- “You therefore, my ]son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus. ” – {2 Tim 2:1};

Sustains, Satisfies.-“And He has said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for power is perfected in weakness.” Most gladly, therefore, I will rather boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may dwell in me. Therefore I am well content with weaknesses, with insults, with distresses, with persecutions, with difficulties, for Christ’s sake; for when I am weak, then I am strong.  “- {2 Cor 12:9-10}.

Scriptures Is a Means of  Knowing and Experiencing His Grace;”And now I commend you to God and to the Word of His grace, which is able to build you up and to give you the inheritance among all those who are sanctified. “-{Acts  20:32}…Therefore they spent a long time there speaking boldly with reliance upon the Lord, who was testifying to the word of His grace, granting that signs and wonders be done by their hands.”-{Acts 14:3}

It is Sufficient for this moment and when you arrive at the next moment it will be available and sufficient for that moment too and the moments beyond that for you. It is moment by moment grace, God’s favor, kindness towards you and power for you!

GRACE IN ACTION;

We are all RECEIVERS of His Grace, who are “In Christ,” – “For of His fullness we have all received, and grace upon grace.For the Law was given through Moses; grace and truth were realized through Jesus Christ.”-{John 1:16-17}. The apostles experienced the POWER of Grace to serve and share, “And with great power the apostles were giving testimony to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus, and abundant grace was upon them all.”-{Acts 4:33}. Stephen also, “And Stephen, full of grace and power, was performing great wonders and signs among the people.”-{Acts 6:8}. GRACE is MANIFESTED IN lives being changes as witnessed by Barnabas of new believers, “Then when he arrived and witnessed the grace of God, he rejoiced and began to encourage them all with resolute heart to remain true to the Lord;”-{Acts 11:23}.  GRACE IS A GIFT FROM GOD, “I thank my God always concerning you for the grace of God which was given you in Christ Jesus,”- {1 Cor 1:4}, God’s Grace to us should banish alll boasting in self, ” But by the grace of God I am what I am, and His grace toward me did not prove vain; but I labored even more than all of them, yet not I, but the grace of God with me.”-{1 Cor 15:10}

Paul was given this promise when God had said “No” to his plea to have his “thorn” removed from him. In his pain, for the word “thorn” was used of a tent peg used to impale, torture someone with! In his pain the Lord gave him Himself, and a promise, and in this Paul gloried, boasted of His provision for him! “That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.“-{2 Cor 12:10}

Celebrate and thank the God of ALL Grace, whose grace is gifted to you not merely to survive but thrive!

“And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that always having all sufficiency in everything, you may have an abundance for every good deed”-{2 Cor 9:8}
