The “Lord,” is “GREAT,”

Great is our Lord and abundant in strength;
His understanding is infinite.“-{Psalm 147:5}

The “Lord is GREAT!”  He is “the Great God”-{Neh 8:6}; “You are Great and Do Wondrous things, You alone are God.”-{Psalm 86:10}; “For I know that the Lord is great And that our Lord is above all gods.”-{Psalm 135:5}; “For great is the Lord and greatly to be praised; He is to be feared above all gods.”-{Psalm 96:4}. He is “Great,” does “wondrous things,” He alone is God, and HE is greatly to be praised!

He is “Great in Mercy,”- {1 Kings 3;6 }; “He is “Great in Goodness,”- { Nehemiah 9:25} He is “Great in Compassion, – {Isaiah 54:7}; He is “Great in His works,”…”Great is the LORD! He is most worthy of praise! No one can measure His greatness. “-{Psalm 145:3 nlt}. “He does great things too marvelous to understand. He performs countless miracles.“-{Job 5:9}. Great are the works of the LordThey are studied by all who delight in them.“- {Psalm 111:2}. “GREAT is the Lord!” Praise Him!

We see from the following verses some more manifestations of His “greatness.”

The “Lord ” is GREAT in “Abundant in Strength,”  -{Psalm 147:5}

“The LORD is slow to anger and great in power, And the LORD will by no means leave the guilty unpunished. In whirlwind and storm is His way, And clouds are the dust beneath His feet.“-{Nahum 1:3}. “Lift up your eyes and look to the heavens: Who created all these? He who brings out the starry host one by one and calls forth each of them by name. Because of His great power and mighty strength, not one of them is missing. “-{Isaiah 40:26}. His Great power, might to create, to sustain, to number and name stars, to heal the broken- hearted, to save souls. His Power is Great. Great to create, Great in judgement, as in the days of Noah and Pharaoh’s army, and none had the power to stop Him. Great in deliverance. Great in Mercy, compassion, Great to “..Heal the broken-hearted and bind up their wounds.”-{Psalm 147:3}.

The word “Praise ” in Psalm 147:1 means “to boast in, to praise,” it is a command and a verb, which means it is to be continuous. Contemplating, Celebrating The LORD, and here we have one aspect of His Being  to do so, namely, He is Great and Does Great things!

Great is the LORD, and highly to be praised, And His greatness is unsearchable.“-{Psalm 145:3 }. His greatness is unsearchable, beyond what anyone can understand. He is Higher than our Highest thought, greater than all minds combined, we have not even touched the hem of His garment in regards How Great HE Is! But for the Word of God and the Spirit of God to open our minds to help us understand we would be creating “gods” of our own imagination, as some do today!- {Read Romans 1:18-21}. Praise Him for HIS Great mercy that He has made it possible we know Him…better…and better and the better we know Him, the lower we go in humility in consideration, contemplation, and celebration of the LORD who is Great and Greatly to be Praised!

“Praise the LORD for.. Great is Our LORD in abundant in strength!”-{Psalm 147:1,5}
