” I know that the Lord is great,
that our Lord is greater than all gods.
The Lord does whatever pleases HIM,
in the heavens and on the earth,
in the seas and all their depths.
HE makes clouds rise from the ends of the earth;
He sends lightning with the rain
and RELEASES the wind from HIS storehouses.”-{Ps 135:5-7}

What difficult, difficult day today was with the pain and muscle disease causing great stress in my body and exhausting me and leaving me groaning and weak  I am on some major medicines to try and help with the disease and pain, but they are not helping with the pain. I find it difficult to speak and have strength to do so. And finding it hard at the moment, too weak to talk, or have visitors. “But God….”  I came across some verses and to pray them and  I hope they will lift your heart and mind as you look away to Him and consider the Greatness and Sovereignty of God!

What great verses to meditate upon Him and His Sovereignty, Supremacy, – whatever pleases Him, He does! And who can stop Him? No one or nothing can. He is sovereign King over all realms, be it the heavens, or all the furthermost corners of the earth, or the vastness of all the seas and not merely skimming over the surfaces but even the debts, the very bottom of the oceans He rules and reigns and does whatever pleases Him! He sends forth the wind from His storehouses, from the cool refreshing breeze’s you feel on your face, or ever felt from a child to adulthood,you experienced or to the gale winds are all His Sovereign revelation, power belongs to the LORD. As LORD He is Master, Owner, all belonging to Him and in submission to Him. As Sovereign King, look at the last five letters which speal.”R-E-I-G-N.” He rigns, He rules. He lives and is actively involved!  He does whatever pleases! There is no sea-saw battle between Him and any created forces as somewho He is barely hanging on some days, in this great cosmic fight, gasping to hold on to power or try  to regain it. But we often wrongly think like this, don’t we. But these verses clearly show He is greater than all and does whatever pleases Him. Like creation, He did it effortlessly and His power is His and He does as He pleases and one day every knee shall bow and tongue confess that Jesus Christ is LORD to the glory of the Father. Shall not the JUDGE of all the earth do right. All things will culminate at the feet of the LORD Jesus. But this part of His Greatness, where He  does whatever He pleases should give us fuel for our worship and faith in Him and hope and encouragement to know whatever the circumstance, they are not greater than Him! This has been a source of my praying for many years and one I tried to teach my children- Whatever pleases Him, He does! So when you pray, ask Him, “LORD if it would PLEASE You, would You do…..” and if it pleases Him He will do it and if not it is because it is not pleasing to Him. And therefore the goal of the prayer is His PLEASURE in the matter! I am reminded of Paul’s word, “we have as our ambition to be PLEASING to HIM”

RE READ THE VERSES AND may they be fuel for your PRAISE and faith to THINK RIGHT about HIM and Praise Him for who He reveals Himself in these verses as, and from the principle of the verses even align your motive in praying is HIS PLEASURE the aim and goal. “Whatever pleases the LORD” in the matter, His will be done! Perhaps you can take the above verses and place in a prominent place where you can see and read and re read and mediate upon -{Psalm 1:2} and use for fuel for your praise of Him and “worship Him in spirit and truth.”

HOW UNSTOPPABLE IS YOUR LORD!
*THINK RIGHT ABOUT HIM-{Hide HIS WORD in your heart- Col 3:16}
*TRUST HIS CHARACTER
* PRAISE Him for Who He reveals Himself as in these verses. Go back and re read and praise Him for each thing mentioned
*TELL SOMEONE ELSE OF THIS SOVEREIGN GOD WHO DOES WHATEVER PLEASES HIM!

*Perhaps YOU can place these verses on a bathroom mirror and read and re read and meditate on the truth so the Holy Spirit can remind you to THINK RIGHT about THE LORD and bring to your remembrance as a source of encouragement! How wonderful the confidence of the Psalmist in his testimony, “I KNOW that the LORD IS GREAT…” and proceeds to tell why He is great! Can you do that? “Be ready to give an account of the HOPE that is within you. -“{ Peter 3:15} Sure you can, you have His Word, His Spirit dwelling within you and power to live and precious and magnificent promies to encourage you to use. -{Read 2 Peter 1:3-4}

THE PSALMIST TESTIMONY;
How wonderful the confidence of the Psalmist in his testimony, “I KNOW that the LORD IS GREAT…” and proceeds to tell why He is great! Can you do that? “Be ready to give an account of the HOPE that is within you. -“{ Peter 3:15} ” I KNOW that the LORD is GREAT… He does whatever HE PLEASES…”

YOUR TESTIMONY;

“I KNOW THAT THE LORD IS GREAT… IN EXALTATION

I KNOW THAT THE LORD IS GREAT…IN  CREATION

I KNOW THAT THE LORD IS GREAT…IN SALVATION

I KNOW THAT THE LORD IS GREAT…HE DOES WHATEVER PLEASES HIM”

HOW TO INCORPORATE THESE TRUTHS INTO YOUR PRAISE AND PRAYERS; Now go back and turn the above four truths and incorporate into YOUR PRAISE and PRAYERS and worship Him in spirit and truth. For example to personalize it, you could say,” LORD , You ARE GREATER than all other so called gods. You are greater and to be EXALTED, as You are above all. LORD I Praise You because You are Great in Creation. LORD I Praise You because You are Great in Salvation, of which I am a recipient. LORD I Praise You that You are Greater as You Do whatever Pleases You and no one, or nothing can hinder that for LORD You are GREATER. You Are SOVEREIGN KING and I Praise You for Your GREATNESS!”

I Pray you will be encouraged…LOOK TO HIM WHO IS SOVEREIGN… HE “R-E-I-G-N’S”- THE LORD IS GREAT.

PERHAPS YOU CAN PASS THIS ON AND ENCOURAGE SOMEONE TO PRAISE HIM AND PRAY HIS WORD AND ATTRIBUTES AS AN ACT AND ATTITUDE OF WORSHIP TO HIM WHO IS GREAT, AND TO STRENGTHEN THEIR FAITH TO THINK ON HIM; TRUST HIM MORE; THANK HIM; AND TELL OTHERS OF HIM.

I AM still in the crucible, furnace of affliction but thankful that for this moment He is helping me think on Him. Thankful for this moment He is helping me focus in this time of pain through reminding me of Himself, His attributes and able to pass on with a prayer you too may be thankful, encouraged and seek to encourage another -{Heb 3:13}
