The battle is for our mind and to choose by faith His Word over how we feel, what we see, what others say and the thoughts which come to undermine His Word. When we do not see ourselves as He sees us and says about us in His Word, we often end up seeking to perform for our acceptance with God and before others. It’s a bit like a hamster on a wheel…

There is a great passage in Eph 3 where Paul prays for the “weary,” the word means exhausted, ready to give up. The picture is of a runner at the finish line, exhausted … And Paul prays for fellow believers who are in such condition spiritually weary that they would “comprehend,”and ” know”- experientially the love of Christ … And in chapter 1 he prays for spiritual enlightenment to their blessings, privileges and hope in Christ…

“I pray also that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know

THE HOPE to which He has called you,

THE RICHES of His glorious inheritance in the saints, and

His incomparably GREAT POWER for us who BELIEVE.

That power is like the working of his mighty strength, which He exerted in Christ when he raised HIM from the dead and seated HIM at his right hand in the heavenly realms….”- ( Eph 1:18-20)

Such good verses to memorize and pray for ourselves and one another. We are who He says we are and only who He says we are is to be embraced and meditated upon as fuel for our faith in Him and praise Of Him… Such is the battle for the mind in regards the TRUTH of who He says you are!

Eph 1:3-13. Read these great verses of who we are In Him…underline the phrases “In Christ, In Whom, In Him,” as you do look at Who He says you are? The response in verse 3 is to “Bless Him” which means to “speak well of” or “to Praise.” To know who He says you are is to produce praise from you, to speak well of Him. To doubt or not to do so robs Him of Praise! His Word is perfect, it is trustworthy, it is unchanging as He is. So the next time you “feel unworthy,” look to Him and see what His Word reveals about you!

You are who He says you are in His Son- that’s Good News!

God bless and encourage you
