How do you know if you are remembering what you should be cease to be affected by, “forgetting  what lies behind”-{Phil 3:13},  versus forgetting what you should remember, “Do not forget ALL His benefits.” -{Psalm 103:2-5}?

What do you THINK on in times of pressure? What thoughts are you allowing to influence you presently, past failures, success, or His Word? You choose to think on what you choose to think on. You have the command, power to change and remember what HE wants you remember and forget what He wants you to cease to be affected, dominated by, which distracts, derails, disheartens you from living jofully in the present! “Count your many blessings name them one by one, count your many blessings see what God has done!” In  order to count them you have to read them, recall them and choose to renew your mind with His Word. You can. When “feelings” would scream at you through unwanted, difficult circumstances, choose to stay your mind on Him for there He promises perfect peace. “You will keep in perfect peace, all who trust in You, all whose thoughts are fixed on You!” –{Isaiah 26:3-NLT}. THINK… TRUST…TALK to yourself His truth and His promise of peace is yours! There is a Person and His promises to cling to and rest in! Another truth to REMEMBER which we often forget, God has “given us everything pertaining to life and Godliness and precious and magnificent promises,” to feed our faith and renew out mind and see things from His perspective!-{Read 2 Pet 1:3,4}. You choose what you will remember and meditate upon! He will use HIS Spirit to help and strengthen you to! You can’t stop thoughts coming to your mind but you can choose what you will  allow your thoughts to linger, occupy and meditate upon!” Do not forget ALL His benefits.” Train your mind to think on Him and “ALL” the benefits that are yours “in Christ,” by His doing! His Word reveals such benefits, for example read Ephesians 1:1-13 and note part of “all” those benefits. Look up the phrases “In Christ, In Whom, in Him,”in Ephesians 1:1-13 and note all the benefits you have in Him such as  grace, peace, adoption, forgiveness, acceptance, the Sealing of the Holy Spirit etc… and the response is that we are to “Bless,Praise, “speak well of Him for each benefit, blessing! {Ephesians 1:3 teaches}. So there is an assignment to help you get in the Word and allow it to get in and control your thinking and “fuel” for your faith and worship of the LORD! Then read Psalm 103:2-5 and list the benefits there. now you will have an arsenal of truth to praise God for!

Remember what God commands you to remember, forget what God wants you to forget, which comes by choosing to THINK and REPLACE the thoughts by RENEWING YOUR MIND with the Truth {Rom 121:2}. Cease to allow yourself to be affected, influenced by your past.  Remember; Commanded, Capacity, Choose!

Cease to Be affected by your past, choose to be influenced by His Benefits! THINK, THINK and TRUST in His Person and promises!
