People will “allow” God to be anywhere but upon His Throne – acting independent of all but Himself!
People at least want to CO-REIGN with God…to have Him at least confide in them before He acts! Such is the deception of our wicked hearts. We like the God who provides for us…we like the God who prospers us…we Like the God who protects us… we just have problem with the GOD WHO does what He wants, when He wants, how He wants… and does it all without us CO-REIGNING with Him as His Supreme Adviser and the one who has the DECIDING VOTE in what happens.
Nothing changes. As yesteryear when they said of Jesus,”we will not have this Man rule over us…” so it is today. We like the “jesus” in the manger.” we like the “jesus” who is weak and inoffensive. We don’t even mind the “jesus” on the cross. But Jesus on His Throne, we have problems with this JESUS whom God has raised Him from the dead in whom all authority and power has been given to Him in heaven and on earth!
People will allow God to be anywhere but upon His Throne. But alas, HE IS ON HIS THRONE. The only thing to do is to bow in reverence, obedience to Him who is worthy, who holds our very breath in His Hands. He who loves us, and loved us to death. Jesus Christ is God. He is seated on THE THRONE. No person will ever sit there, but the eternal God who is in need of nothing or no one outside of Himself to sustain, empower Him. He is un-created. He alone is God. He alone is SEATED UPON THE THRONE and RULES AND REIGNS AS SOVEREIGN KING. Every knee will bow and every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is LORD to the Glory of the Father.
