February 13 – If The Love Of God Were Based On Circumstances

If the love of God were based on favorable circumstances then there would be times when we could conclude that God does not love us, as circumstances are not always good, trouble free or favorable. But the love of God is NOT based upon ever changing feelings or circumstances. The love of God is based upon His Son who loved us and gave Himself up for us. The cross of Christ demonstrates His love for us. “But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”- {Rom 5:8}. We live by faith, not in what we see, but we live by faith in Him who loved us and gave Himself up for us. {Read Gal 2:20}. Faith rests in the love of a Person, who has proved His love for us.{Read 2 Cor 5:21}. Faith rests in the love of Christ for us.{Read John 15:10}. To Live by faith, is to live in reliance and total dependence upon another, Christ the LORD!
